Those are nice trees. Given reasonable care in well drained soil they should thrive. I've almost never lost a tree like those absent a clear cause like a freeze.

I'm always surprised with how variable 2 trees of the same type are from a single nursery. In this case, the 2 Indian Free Peach. The tops aren't too dis-similar, though the one on the right starts branching a bit lower and looks more even. But, the roots of the one on the right look half as long and less than half the mass of those on the left. I bet both will grow fine, but I'd be interested to know if one puts on more vigorous growth than the other in year #1.

They look like a nice thick caliper size too. I look forward to your flavor reports in a couple of years, particularly with the Indian Free.

Not bad, cityman. The roots on the middle tree are pretty sparse, but otherwise everything looks good. I much prefer larger, well branched bare root trees to small, whip type trees. I always get much better growth with the larger trees - especially in the first year.

I just got my groworganic.com order in on Friday. Just 50 strawberry plants. Most were nice, but a few duds mixed in.

Its funny that you point out the difference in the two indian free peach trees, BobZ. I spent a lot of time looking at the difference and I'm actually a little worried if they really are the same tree! Aside from the differences you pointed out in root structure, the wood is darker and more "freckled" on one than another and the roots are lighter colored on one. Oh well...like you said, its just funny that there are such differences in trees you would assume were grown very near each other. But I was very, very happy with the size, thickness, and quality of the trees. I think they will do great, All that being said, it did remind me of a recent post (forget who said it) in that even though I love the size and shape of the trees, if you watch the dave Wilson video on backyard orchard company, he seems to advocate a smaller tree with less branches as being the ideal tree to start with. These seem a bit larger and more filled out. But perhaps these would still be the perfect "BYOC" tree if I pruned them back more. Whether I'm wrong in my understanding of the ideal BYOC tree or if these just need trimming and then would meet that classification, OR even if it won't.....I think I prefer these big thick trees!

Cityman, your trees look great! Many of my trees have arrived looking just like yours and not one ever died! (killed by a hurricane, yes, but not me!) The roots on your Enterprise look the best and healthy. The root system on one peach is just skimpy and a little short. But as you know peaches grow very quickly. Boy, here in NE the snow and ice are just blasting us. I sure wish it was May (when my trees arrive). Good luck! Mrs. G

Here are a couple of photos of my order from Peaceful Valley that arrived today.Probably close to the size of yours Cityman.They are all potted now and the broken branches trimmed.I did cut two down that didn't need so much top.
