Please help me choose tile and counter for modern bath
Comments (9)I see your point, writersblock. My shower and toilet are in a separate room from the vanity, although there is visibility between the 2 areas when the pocket door is open. The vanity area would have the counter and ledge in Azul Macaubas and the plain gray field tile on the floor. I wanted to bring a little bit of blue accent into the shower so that that room is not just solid gray floor and walls. I need a small tile for the shower floor, and the Via Tornabuoni does not come in small sizes. I was thinking of doing the shower floor like this, with Via Tornabuoni field tiles making up the outside border and mosaic in the middle. Comments (4)Hi Maggie, I snapped that picture at Bedrosians. I didn't write down the name because I just liked the idea of the pattern, but looking at their website I think it was one of the Eclipse glass and marble mosaics, maybe Eternity or Marina. Here is a link that might be useful: Eclipse...See MoreX-Post - help me pick window seat fabrics
Comments (8)The floral is a large pattern while the granite is relatively tightly patterned in neutral tones. I don't think it's a big issue, since you are only using them as accent pillows. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part, since I had a very similar combo. Strangely enough, my old kitchen that just got demo'd had nearly the identical Waverly fabric with a very similar red fabric (a fine grained gingham versus thin stripes -- the same shade, though), with a white cabinet. I also used the fabric in a roman shade. I have a pic of that, but I don't think I have the pic of the old bench cushions. Comments (23)Thank you all for ideas! Sum5463, thats looks like a nice idea for our next kitchen. gr8day, that cheesecake looks wonderful and is good inspiration to get cooking. When I came downstairs this morning, DH had put a thin flexible cutting board under it. I can now slide it. I do plan on keeping it on the counter but need to determine exactly where. Right now I have more items on the counter than I want. I got to pick the color and it is crimson red so I don't mind people seeing it. I can see how a lift would be very convenient. I can't imagine this mixer walking anywhere when in use. My 30 year old Oster mixer which is light weight never moved when mixing heavy dough. Sounds like this mixer really makes a difference in cooking. jil314, I will keep that in mind. I never liked making pulled pork because it was too much work schreding. I read to let your mixer do it. It actually worked pretty well in my Oster and now hearing about chicken I'm thinking it may work really well with pork too in the KA....See Morecarsonheim
