Hi, Panhandle_Seed_Swap! Yes, I have many extra commercial seeds to swap, but also many I have saved myself. I may also include whatever participants send in that I don't wish to grow.

i have started to put together the envelope for this swap. i have a few questions....for one about how many packets should i send? i suppose its up to me ultimately, but if theres a good target number that would be great to know.

all of what i have gathered so far is stuff from my garden from this year, and a few feral/ wild crafted plants. i will just put whatever seems good as i go, but if anyone has any special requests, let me know.
actually some of the stuff on my current have list already made it into the bag, but sort of drawing a blank as to what else to put in...mostly i grow veggies and edibles.....

I would love to join if it is not to late. This is the best way to try out new seeds for me as I have rather hard clay dirt. I know it will take a lot of time to get it up to pare with additions of compost but I can not wait to plant what I can for now.

ok well i am going to throw in some duplicates, and a few more things and should get this off fairly soon. i suppose i was drawing a bit of blank cause i wasnt sure i should put in any of the fruit seeds, and some others, its stuff thats less generalized and more specific...if someone is really into perennials and fruit like me...anyway i think i got it mostly together, its mostly veggies and all from my garden this year except a few that i know are organic....as well as some feral plants, grown by mother nature =) no one does any weird spraying out here, its the deep forest...anyway, just in case you might worry....

tip - you might look into sheet mulching /lasagna beds, or any kind of deep mulch system for growing. it works quite well and builds soil - best part it saves a lot of back ache! no till.....i also have rather hard clay and rock...so i build growing beds on top of that. the thing about it is you have to gather a LOT of stuff to make them, bags and bags (or multiple wheelbarrows) of leaves/compost/wood chips/straw or haybales...then put either screened local soil or a bag of soil on the very top thats where the seedlings start off and then move their roots into all the mulch below it...eventually it all rots down to fluffy soil and even eventually gets mixed with the local soil by the multiple worms that flock to the beds...

or well theres several ways to do it...and then theres the ruth stout way, with just hay/straw...or several related methods.

but thats the gist...also the cardboard on the bottom keeps the weeds back, turns whatever is there into more nutrients as it gets smothered by the bottom layer of cardboard...so it is weed free for a year or two.
