I remember reading a blog and the person stated that his rosehips made a tea with a mild pumpkin flavor. My favorite Stash tea is Meyer lemon ... ingredients are: Rosehips, lemongrass, orange peel, hibiscus, citric acid, meyer lemon oil, and safflower. See below link.

That tea really cut through the grease of any dinner. It's acidity & high vitamin C helps to de-grease. In contrast, for an acidic dinner like spaghetti or bean soup, I use an alkaline tea, Stash Peppermint tea, voted by Men's Health Magazine as the best tasting herbal tea. Those 2 teas are often wiped out in my local grocery store.

Had to immediately run to the the kitchen, turn my stash of tea cannister upside down on the counter and search for the Meyer Lemon from months ago. Ahhh, that's good and sour to clean the gills, whatever that means.
Over last summer I collected lavender to make sachets ;
just the lavender stalks broken up with half a Stash peppermint tea bag mixed together oddly came out smelling like vanilla had been added, incredibly nice !
-Too late to retrieve my Stash tea box from the community center, I better go buy more peppermint. I didn't know it was so high in demand, and didn't know any men besides Jean Luc Picard drink tea.
Photo is of a wildflower; "butter cups" grow in the Washington woods before any other flowers come up in Spring.
Now that there are few undeveloped woods close by, few childhood wildflowers appear. My son hikes through Idaho with his camera and gets some photos meaningful to me.

Hi Damask: I like to sew too .. I used to make my own clothes when I was in junior high. Stash has another tea with rosehip, it's yumberry blackcurrant tea, with hisbiscus, rosehips, lemongrass, yumberry flavor, chicory root, blackcurrent, and licorice. It's sweeter & less tart than Stash Meyer tea. I like Yumberry for desert, and Meyer tea for greasy food.

I love the winter when it's above 30 degree. We got over 18" of snow, there's 2 feet of snow at the end of my driveway. I spent 1 hour this morning shoveling snow, will have to go out again tonight to do another hour. It will be cold in the 20's ... tea with rosehips is great for the winter, prevent cold & flu with its vitamin C. Some pics. of my garden taken today, back yard:

Here's picture of my front door ... covered with snow, that's before I spent 1 hour shoveling the sidewalk & mailbox, husband spent 1 hour shoving the driveway.
