ISO A Peach Hybrid Tea Rose
Comments (6)Yes, you want the Advanced Search function at Helpmefind.com. Click on "Class" and select "Hybrid Tea", then "Color" and select "peach" or "Apricot" (what some think of as "peach" others think "apricot"). One popular rose in that color is Just Joey....See MoreDo you buy the same color over and over?
Comments (66)Yep, apricot, soft peachy blends and changeable colors (think Tamora, Gruss an Aachen, Crepuscule, Reve d'or.) Thought I didn't care for yellow at all but found I'm a sucker for "yellows" with a strong peachy, apricot or golden hue (think Golden Celebration, Amber Queen.) Also thought I didn't like white roses but am currently obsessed with them....though I always seem to gravitate to the ones with a blush of other color to them (Madame Alfred Carriere, La Biche.) I've recently discovered a passion for purple roses and am wanting to try a few of the dark purplish/wine/crimson reds, though in general red roses don't do a thing for me. Pink always seems to end up sprinkled in there, simply because so many roses are pink. After writing this, I realize I have more diversity than I thought and am headed for even more, which is good!! When I started out, I had a bunch of apricot and pale blends and a wish list of even more from that same area....See MoreApricot / Peach Rose
Comments (20)Hi rachieaj--have you considered Abraham Darby? Big, gorgeous, richly peach flowers with a killer fragrance. Mine is 2-3 years old, is in a small space with dappled shade, and hasn't yet shown any aggressive tendencies. It doesn't have a nice, tidy, compact form, so every now and then he'll throw out a floppy arm at a weird angle, but not very often. The shrub could definitely be improved upon, but the flowers really are hard to beat. It's my 2nd favorite for fragrance (after Autumn Damask)....See MoreLady of Shalott companion
Comments (20)Let me answer some of the questions in 1 post: My Lady of Shalott is about 4'x4' and I have a similar space that I am looking to fill with another rose. I have a yellow Doris Day next to it right now that I'm planning to move because it is a black spot magnet for me. The color combination of the Doris Day yellow and peach/orange is not soothing to my eye. I feel that another yellow rose would yield the same result. The backdrop to the Lady of Shalott is a white wall so a white rose would wash out. I have 4 Munstead Woods. It is one of my favorite roses. 3 of the Munstead Woods are in containers and I just planted one in the ground this year. The one in the ground is kind puny although It has only been one year, but I wonder if the MW's size would be dwarfed by the Lady of Shalott. I would appreciate views on this one because I would be willing to plant another Munstead Wood. I have Ebb Tide, Twilight Zone and Violet's Pride elsewhere in my garden. I guess I could plant another one next to the Lady of Shalott. I would lean towards Twilight Zone or Ebb Tide because their color is a dark purple....See Moreoursteelers 8B PNW
