Staking Tart Cherries on G5

Hi All,
So, I'm eagerly looking forward to my spring order of pie cherries on G5 rootstock (and a peach on lovell but am not planning on staking that at all), and trying to get everything ready. I've read many places that Gisela 5 rootstock for cherries needs to be permanently staked, but most information I've read about staking trees is for apples or other trees; I'm planning on pruning / training them as an open vase, but am having trouble visualizing how many and where to attach any supports. It sounds like they should be attached only about 1 foot off the ground if the lower scaffolds are at 1.5 feet.

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with staking dwarf cherries? What was your plan and how did it turn out?
