Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'd really like to see an off topic / conversations section here, I know I'd use it. A lot of us have been around for a while, I'd love to be able to chat about things other then selling my house. BTW, please start sending the selling dust my way after next week. We went to our new house the other day, we're looking at a possible January move. I've mentioned my hubby's accident, I'll be in the hospital from Monday - Friday; plus my daughter fractured her wrist the other day. The house being ready in January wasn't what we wanted to hear right now... lol

Thanks for the greeting Belle. Hope your day was yummy and cozy. We had a really nice time together and lots of yummy food too. Even slipped on our sweaters and took a walk afterwards--kinda chilly in So. Calif. I was really tired yesterday, not used to being on my feet so much and being so busy anymore! I still need to stash a few platters and bowls in the big cabinet above the fridge--wasn't feeling like climbing up on the step stool yesterday. Tollpeggy, I'm planning on doing my turkey soup today, that's my favorite way to use up the leftover turkey too. Also need to gather up all my fall decorations and get them stashed in their bins and back in the shed. Then it will be time to pull out all the Christmas bins--didn't I just do that???? Seems like the years roll by faster and faster! I've got lots of projects earmarked to paint, will need to get busy and "git r done". Sure wish I had a painting buddy to sit and chat with while I paint, that would make it even more fun. Guess I'll have to settle for putting on the Christmas cd's won't I? Enjoy your weekend. Luvs

Sunny here after a few days of soft, light rain (for which we are very grateful). Tom is away in Iceland this week, so I am broadcasting my Thanksgiving wishes near and far, and to each and every one of you.

John, you sure have an eclectic group there. I hope your Pescatarian and Mike did manage to create some sparks, and I'm sure everything was delicious although I had to pause at the brie cheese gelato, and I'm still thinking about that. I suppose it was good, because many times brie is served with sweet, like that brie and fruit in crust thing... Dcarch, I hope you enjoyed your dinner and are still around to talk about it, romaine is sure getting some bad press lately. Brad, your dinner sounds perfectly festive, although I do like turkey and I'd rather have sweet potatoes than the traditional mashed white ones. I also LOVE creamed onions, yum. Although your group was small, it's always nice to have family together. Momj47, I'd forgotten about that picture, and it still made me smile. Happy Thanksgiving! gardengal, I hope you get your Yorkshire puddings soon. And just think, you really can eat them all yourself. (grin) Makes it all worthwhile.... sleevendog, it was cold here too, didn't make record cold, which is 7F, but it made it down to 12F. We spent about an hour outside setting hay and repairing a hay feeder and coaxing the very cold tractor to start, and that was enough. I don't blame you for skipping the parade, a week outside is more than sufficient in this weather. Because our family dinner will be on Saturday we had chickpea flour waffles and a venison stirfry, definitely not the traditional Thanksgiving Day meal but still better than I had anticipated. And tomorrow I cook..... Annie
