The Sea - John Banville - anyone up for a discussion?

Hi all

As I mentioned on the September reading thread, I've just finished a re-read of The Sea by John Banville. I've always had a bit of a bias against this book, as it won the Booker Prize in 2005 ahead of one of my favourite books, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. (Also, I had a tenner on NLMG at 14/1, so I missed out on a hundred and forty quid too!)

But on a re-read, I have to admit that, perhaps, the judges were not wrong. It's a beautifully written book, with plenty to talk about, I think.

So - I'd like to volunteer to lead a discussion on the book. Shall we start on October 23rd? That gives anyone who is interested just over three weeks to get hold of a copy and read it.

Who's up for it?
