I keep trying to move this post on - but until now no success.

I was just hoping that with such brief details someone might have recognised the story behind the poems
Hopefully it will now move down.

Sorry, Jankin. I know a lot of poetry, but.... if I could have helped, I would.

I suspect that many of us read your post but just didn't have any answer. Perhaps you'll be lucky and stumble across the two poems one day.

Rosefolly

I googled many things but couldn't find anything. The strange thing is that I think I also remember the housekeeper picking mushrooms poem. Perhaps it's just a false memory.

I often wonder about a book I read as a child, but the details are so sketchy I can't even post anything - Scandinavian - girl named Marta or something similar - pet owl - model frigate hanging from ceiling - travelling on a ferry. No idea of plot or anything else.

Isn't it strange how something can live so vividly in one's memory yet be so vague?

I'm sure the mushroom poem will turn up somewhere - and the other poem
is about a mother putting her small son to bed and he tells her 'I have a pain - just here' (I think that's the line ) and it turns out that he has heartache because of a little girl at shcool - I know I'll find this somewh4re too.
Thanks for the encouragement
