msbatt, It's not C.trichotomum. I live in zone 6 so it would not make it here also no peanut butter smell. I may have to expand my search to shrubs. The plant was at the house when my mom bought it and it may just be a shrub that had been let go. When it blooms this year I'll get pics to post. The search continues! Nina

Donna thanks a lot, had not heard of those. I'm not sure how I would fasten the trellises to them as I was thinking of some metal strips bent at right angles on the ends to brace against the fireplace/clips and on the other end to to the trellis (I'm not very mechanically-minded). I might be able to use something like that inside, too. They look stronger than velcro. I will ask my son how we could make them work as they are the best suggestion so far, we talked about it last year for a different trellis I was going to make out of wood, and that involved a masonry bit and some kind of fastener, bolts or screws. At the link is what the trellis is like; it's very tall, still in the box, 3 sections vertically I think. Scroll down to linrose's post (about 4th) on this thread; she's got a triple, mine is just like that only black and need to wire two singles together to make it double, brickwork wasn't wide enough for a triple like hers. Hers looks almost flush against the brick, I want mine out and away more but straight and not leaned, like hers. I thought about using fence posts, but that would look kind of unprofessional and tacky & might not hold well, but I have to improvise a lot around here. Those roses have been bugging me. I think I have them all figured out, looked at Pickering again and also HMF. Now that one has to be Evelyn, and the darker pink one has to be Hyde Hall. A few of the blooms look more like the photo at Pickering but it is the same bush. Miss Alice & Wisley are on the other side, Wisley's blooms nod still. Miss Alice and Rosemoor are on either side of my french drain, probably get their roots too damp or just too obstructed, not doing well compared to the others. Wow! That's a gorgeous shot! You work so well with the camera, Maria! Your photo albums are wonderful! I've bookmarked your page, and will go back to see more when I have a few hours of free time! LOL! It definitely has been a busy summer! And it's not over yet! I still have lots to do outdoors, not to mention taking care of all my indoor bulbs. Since I was way too afraid to allow my bulbs outdoors this spring and summer, I doubt many will bloom next spring... although, I could be surprised. I do plan on purchasing a few new ones this fall, though, so I will have winter blooms! We were going to go to the Netherlands this August to attend the wedding of a dear friend, but with gas and airline prices the way they are, we had to cancel. Airline tickets alone would have cost several thousand dollars, which we can't spare right now. I'm very disappointed, but I am going to attend the Chicagoland Orchid Festival, and even though it won't be quite the same, it will be fun. I should come away with a new orchid or two, and I have Cindee to thank for pointing me toward collecting these wonderful plants, as well as bulbs! Xuan, I doubt the Clematis pods will be anywhere near ready to ship this month, but I am watching them. I will harvest when they're ripe and hang on to them for your next family member to visit the States. In the meantime, I may be able to harvest a few other seeds for you. I will email. I'm behind on shipping out care packages, too... very shortly, I will have several types of seeds harvested and ready to ship... most are perennials from my gardens, but I know a few friends wanted to try some!
