Hubby heard me grumble for 2 days. 800 pics and I don't see the one I have. LOL! The part of the stem turning pinkish is blotchy.. Just like the Huernia erectiloba I just got. So that's why I was thinking it may be in that catagory. I have Hoyas and Ceropegia too. Yes, I know some stink! LOL! I have several of the very fragrant ones. Thank you everyone! JoJo

Lilyfinch- Your roses are going to be beautiful! I have a Lavender Lassie, an Excellenz von Shubert (need a good nickname for her, because she looks like a girl LOL) a small Clothide Soupert (Chloe) and a Gartendirektor Otto Linne (Otto). Not all my roses have nicknames, but these are still so small, their names are bigger than they are! Also have a Celsiana, Bleu Magenta, Trier, Madame Plantier, two Belle de Crecy, two President de Seize, two Therese Bugnet, four Snow Pavement (these are so cute, but kind of wild looking) a Darlow's Enigma, two Veilchenblau, four John Cabot (on sale at Lowe's) a Lyda rose, two Golden Wings, two Indigo, a Baby Tausendschon (baby) and I bought six bare root roses last month! 2 Fairy, 2 Nearly Wild and 2 Robusta. At the time, I thought some of the roses were going into the kitchen garden. So, lots of roses (mostly purchased last year) and that's not even counting the ones I've given to my mom...which are 2 Fantin Latours (which I love, but they're not doing well with our cold wind) 2 Ispahan, 2 Zephrine Drouhin (which did not like my location, but love it up at my mom's) and a William Lobb. I would have kept that one, but my mom fell in love with it (as it was blooming when it arrived) so it's now one of her favorites. She has David Austin roses, which are beautiful, but I'm starting to realize that anything that isn't zone 2, 3 or a very hardy 4 is going to need winter protection, in my garden. Normally, I probably wouldn't be able to list my roses, but since I've been trying to draw a plan as to how to fit them all into my front bed, fairy garden and little bed under the plum trees...I have them all written down, in front of me :) Calamity J- 1/2 an acre? I'm sure you're just getting started! I'm always amazed as to how many roses people have on the rose forums, and in much less space. Kay- Your roses are lovely and I can see why you want more! How wonderful to be in a warm climate and be able to grow so many...and they bloom so early! On greenthumb- It's fun to try new plants and so nice that you have the room. As you get more plants, you may find that you're donating some back, to make room for your new favorites :)

Hello all....another quick question.... Im in zone 5 and its almost july, ive read this rose of sharon should be planted in the fall...so should i keep them in their pots until then and just keep them watered or what could happen if i put them in the ground now and kept them watered really good?? I bought a couple for the person that lives next door to me and was going to plant all of them this weekend. No where where ive read online says what would happen if i plant in july?? Thank

Only pee fest will be DH and I as we enter senility LOL ! Thanks Kelly...we love the rugs and always take them outside 2x a year and vacuum them front and back. This was the 1st ever that I decided to clean them with water. I don't know what people thought...probably that I was taking in laundry...who in their right mind has this many rugs ??? ! lk: I mean that when you smooth your hand over an oriental rug there is one way that is like velvet and the other is against the nap. You want to follow the smooth and not rough up the fibers. The home machines will not work half as well. The Rug Dr is only 26.00 for 24 hrs so it is very cheap. I got the wide one. You pull it toward you as you hold the sprayer and it is scrubbing and sucking at the same time. You then tip it up and push it back to the beginning and just pull it to suck up any wayward water. Then I would cover that same area again spray/suck and then just suck and move on to the next strip. Believe it or not you get into a rhythm. It is easiest if you have a couple sunny days in a row in case you need a little longer drying time. You need to bring them in at night if you have dew like we do here. Or not if you want the odor removing attributes of the dew/night air. They really are only damp on the surface and the backing didn't get even the least bit damp. Only two are back out there this AM and that is cause they were the last two and I want to be double sure they are dry. You can get a pet odor removal treatment at the Rug Dr display. I am sure other brands have it too. But I would not use soap unless you are going to go back over each rug with clear water 2x to get it all out. And to get out the pee treatment stuff too. oceanna: you gotta post pics...LOVE red doors...you know they bring great good luck and wealth to you !! c
