Hi all

Here are some pictures from the garden.It had just rained today so I thought I would take a few photos when the colour was really clear:

An unidentified rose ,please ignore the name we have given it.It has an outstanding perfume.If anyone can ID the rose we would be eternally grateful!I think it is a Bourbon.

Hi Michelle your roses are looking terrific. Glad to hear that you are getting rain.
Up here in wet Brissie we are starting to get rain every day,
So the garden is starting to look better again.Thank you Huey.

The garden is really coming along with the rain. You certainly still have quite a job to do with those ones to be planted.

I think that last not fancy daylily is really pretty. And with 40 buds its certainly a winner. At least in my book, it is! I like your first group shot with the dark then the light and then the darker colors all in a row. It's a tie for favorite for me between JORDAN VERHEART and ASIAN EMASSARY. They are both such stunners I couldn't choose between them. All the other blooms are pretty too.

All of them are very pretty. It seems short scapes are the norm this year, a lot of mine have had short scapes also but they have great looking blooms. Have a happy July 4 with the twins. Linda

Thanks a lot everybody! Wow, Swirling Water got picked ;) I guess I'll keep it then. Yes, quite a bit of instant rebloom, I started to write down and stopped at about twenty. In fact half of dls in this post have instant rebloom scapes (or scape). Debra, re performance of Filipina Bride and Choral Fantasy. CF added one fan, but there is only one scape and not many buds. FB on the other hand is a big clump and has lots of scapes (and instant) and has multiples almost every day. I should mention though that I got it (as a bonus) two times, plus it had a prolif. Also, JBs love it. Thanks for suggestion Kay, about my noid. YEs, I considered Nile Crane, as well as Aquamarine and Lady Diane but can't be sure. Hi Crackingtheconcrete, glad to see you :) Chris, sorry your Choral Fantasy didn't survive, mine was a bonus last year and I was skeptical about it overwintering, but the winter was very mild. Cindy, Filipina Bride seems to love heat. Even then it won't open sepals all the way on most of the flowers, but it is still better than when neither sepals or petals open on it like it was last year and in the beginning of this season.

The hospital beds are lovely. We did not have that kind of pretty bed at the hospital where I worked. You have a lot of pretty ones blooming. I like Whipped cream, and Firefly Frenzy. Of course, I also really like sultry Siren and Here comes Santa Claus. What color is the marking of the Here Comes Santa Claus? kay

Yes thanks the rain has been great. We have had such a strong north wind this morning it was awful...and gives me hay fever.
I am having a friend over today to see the roses and it would be the very day the north wind batters them .I was beside myself and was able to move some into shelter.
The ones in the ground have to fend for themselves!
Now the sun is out ,the wind has dropped and Im feeling much better!:))
Yes goldhills, there will be some work still to plant the rest of the containers but we have plenty of time and the majority have been done.We have beds ready and a plan so it will be fine.
