Bellegallica, I have two of them, one in a nice big pot on the front circle and one in the ground in the backyard. Both are doing really well. The potted one has added several canes, is full of buds and shaped quite symmetrically. Can't wait to see the flowers. It's pretty healthy but has more BS/yellow leaves than the other polyanthas & minis I planted at the same time. Don't know if that will continue. And by "more" I don't mean it's covered with BS - a really small percentage of effected leaves, maybe 5%. I'm not good at guesstimating that. But it seems to be a fast grower, sending out longer canes, but then it's not a mini so I guess it will be bigger than the others anyway. I have it in a decorative ceramic pot about 24+" tall by 15" across so it's going to be up higher than everything else. It will be interesting. When it blooms, I'll post pics. Sherry

Lol! I have pink drift, that came from a grower, but pulled out the coral drift because it was competing with roses I liked better. I am practical about my garden. If it works, I keep it, I really don't care about its "common-ness." I have a Prosperity "tree" that I have espaliered to the north side my wall, and I wanted a tiered effect, so I have Pink Drift, Golden Buddha, International Herald tribune, and Natchitoches Noisette under the tree for filler. It works. I suspect you are in good company Sheri. In the heat of summer Drift keeps going. It is like an Ever-ready bunny! My pink drift is quite short and is three years old about 18" x 24" But I know what you mean about its lack of perceived value. I feel that way about a lot of my roses. Many of my roses are earthkind OGRs, which makes them the common roses of the OGR world. But they are beautiful and reliable. Like Pink drift. Only more special.

One of the best things about roses is how much they give you to look forward to--the first buds in spring, the scent as you pass by, and of course a nice bouquet for you or a friend. You chose wisely at Chamblee's (it is hard not to, with their selection and helpful staff) and will have years of enjoyment from your "new" roses. I think I need a climbing Souvenier . . . .

Ok so update here...I planted these 2 bushes about 4'-5' apart and one is looking great , and the other looks completely dead! I mean all of its leaves turned yellow and fell off, whereas the other didn't experience much of any type of stress it seems? I planted both the exact same way? Which makes me think once again these were two different bushes..the one that dropped all leaves and looks dead it the one in the first pic above in my orig. question. And the one doing great is the pic I posted in the comment at start of thread...ps this one also has 2 different color blooms on it as well? So here they are the dead looking one, and the live looking one...do you think there is any hope for the dead looking one? What did I do wrong?
