Thanks for the nice compliments everyone! justgotabme.....DH asked me to help him rebuild an engine for our first date....said he didn't have time to ask me out on a REAL date. :0) I'm thinking not too many women would have been flattered by that offer. :0) lol Oceanna....It's physically VERY hard if your trying to hammer a piece into a leaf shape for instance. If your just cutting a bunch of pieces, clamping them together, then running a bead over the joint....it's like a crafts project. The cost: You can lease a tank or buy it. A little tank with gas was $200(you need 2 for oxy acetylene). Then refilling our BIG tanks is $65 ea. (we have 3 tanks, 3 types of gas). Then the hoses, gauges for the tanks, wand,tips, striker, leather vest, face shield...it can cost!!!!! or...shop sales, auctions....I've used metal coat hangers as solder to save a buck! Had a guy ask me to weld a brace for an exhaust pipe, next to a gas tank. No I didn't do it. lol :0) So I've NEVER been paid to weld anything.....or sew anything. I saw an article on a guy that lives near Aspen CO, has a forge and caters to Hollywood people.. :0) That would be profitable.

All I can say is WOW! What a wonderful transformation! It's so much brighter and fresher. And you sunk your money into the important stuff, the appliances! The floor is just amazing, reminds me a bit of my multi colored slate floor which I think is the star of my new kitchen. I love the big clock and I LOVE LOVE LOVE all your dishes AND the fact that you're not afraid to display them all. I love that you have surrounded yourself with the things you love. I love dishes, too and istantly recognized the Hull brown drip pitcher in the before picture above! I have tons of brown drip! Hmmm, notice how many times I used "love" in this post?! Can't wait to see Annie's headboards too! Grouting will probably be DAYS, not day! NICE, I wish I had that kind of energy when it comes to grouting time! TooMuch, anytime goes! My hope is to stop STARTING without finishing! Gypsy, it's a GOOD sickness that we all share! SLOW, it's more white plate middles on a lazy susan. Thanks for all your nice comments.
