FAQ(s) for Aussie forums

Just emailed Spike about the possibility of setting one (or maybe several) FAQ(s) for the users of the Aussie forums. I asked because there are a lot of repeat or very similar questions and a lot of very knowledgeable people out there who could contribute.

If you think this a good idea then add to this thread. If the respone is positive I'll ask Spike to set it in motion.

I like the idea, Raymondo, but how do we persuade people to actually USE it?

Well, I suppose the regular forum users would become pretty familiar with the content and could refer others to the appropriate place. I imagine it being used for things like dealing with particular pests/diseases with homemade remedies etc.
And if it really turns out to be an unused addition I'll just ask Spike to remove it.

At long last I've finally cracked it with the help of bromeliaddict and jaga. The zero before my post code was the secret to the code and thanks again jaga. I agree with Jay. Mine drowned out from the excessive rainfall that we received. They produced a few small tomatoes. Almost all of mine tasted bland during that period of the year, but the few that I got did taste pretty fair. I was able to save quite a few seed and will try them again with hopefully, a more normal year to see how they do. Like Jay, mine were not all that big this past year. Bill P.

Excellent idea, I am new the forum and i understand that many questions have posted previously but I find the search engine to be somewhat limited - you can't do complex searches like the google engine.

I think this is an excellent idea. But I agree,how do we make sure people use it? some of these gardening forums are used very little. Judie

Well guys small start and who knows what might happen. I agree it's a great idea. When I have a question regarding a herb I refer to my books. It may take a while but I usually get my answer, eventually!

A FAQ sounds great.
Propation methods for popular herbs might be a good place to start.

I've abandoned the idea of a FAQ because when I asked for specific contributions nothing was forthcoming.
Sorry, just not a goer I guess.
