Your question is not very clear but I presume you are writing about Lobivia silvestrii or as it is in older literature a Chamaecereus. There has been much hydridisation with other lobivia species and probably other genera. Not all of these will be documented. At least one hybrid has a generally stockier stem than the true species but you would need someone very familiar with the genera to identify just what you have. Incidentally this easily propagated common species is a wonderful little plant. If given a cold and fairly hard rest and grown in a rich but porous mix it will flower profusely. I have had 60+ flowers on one plant when living in a much colder climate than I do here.

yes that is the cactus i am talking about, i have two plants bought from different places, one has thinner stems and is in a hanginging basket and tends to hang down and the other has thicker stems and tends to stand upright. i checked the growing tropical plants in pheonex web site and the one they have listed is called a king kong cultivar, which looks like the one that stands upright, so i take it this is a hybrid of the origanal plant. my firts plant flowered very well this year it tends o like a good soaking.

I have 2 peanut cactus, one is red and the other a purple color, both have huge blooms.
