Two photo questions

I have tried unsuccessfully to post a photo directly onto webpages in differant forums, under the text rather than supply a link. What's the secret?

Second question; why, when I follow a link to someone else photo on 'photobucket' does it go to my own page, if I'm logged in or nowhre if I'm not?

If you are talking about posting pics in your message box (here on GW)...I'm assuming you have Photobucket...Ya need to COPY html tag, below your photo and then PASTE into the message box here...Whatever browser using, (I'm using IE) you'll need two opened to do it....One opened for PB (COPY html)and One for GW (PASTE html) Then Preview as normal...if you're using ones with the tabs, you'll need two tabs...
on the second question, I'm not sure about...Hope I didn't confuse you...Someone may be able to better give directions...

Nice photo! Do you know what kind of bird it is?

Haha, thank you. The bloom is slightly different from other Alliums and there is only a single stalk (sans leaves), but I checked on your suggestion and they look identical. Thank you. It does smell of Allium, good advice. Ha. Especially for photo number one as it is slightly different from number two. Thank you floral_uk and Thedocguy for the information.

Whoa! I never meant that you should take your photos off the New England Gardening Forum and post them on a blog somewhere! I just was trying to say that a thread that has 20 photos, each of which takes about 1 minute to load, and they load one at a time, gets prohibitively long for someone with dialup. Just to post my comment meant that I had to wait over a half hour before I could get to the end. I was only asking that you start a new thread for your photos, which I enjoy seeing. A new thread means a much shorter load time. Claire

Thanks Casey. I will go and look. I also have PictureIt too Maryanne. (How are you feeling?) I used it years ago with my first scanner and I loved it. I bought the latest version just last month and I'd forgotten all about it. Thanks you too. I will post the end result when I'm through with it...IF I figure it out. Lawn#1- If spraying the crabgrass will potentially get some overspray on the freshly seeded area I wouldn't do it. The new tender shoots could easily be damaged by the herbicide. If you can spray the crabgrass without getting it on the new grass then by all means go for it. Lawn#2- On the fertilizer either way will be fine and IMO really won't make any difference. I would wait on putting down any lime as it could affect the fertilizer. You really don't want to put down both at the same time. It's best to wait a month or two if possible to put down the lime.
