I've been using the FoliagePro for a couple of months now, and I noticed a big difference between two containers, one of which has nasturtiums and bronze fennel, and another which has nasturtiums, ornamental oregano, and lemongrass. The nasturtiums in the latter container are lush and blooming well; the nasturtiums in the former container are scrawny, with yellow leaves and infrequent blooms, and the bronze fennel is dying at the tips. I know I was giving less FoliagePro fertilizer to the scrawny ones, but when I gave them more, nothing happened. Now I remember having given the pot with the oregano some organic fertilizer, 3-1-2 alfalfa meal. I sprinkled some on the scrawny ones and will keep you posted. I would note that it is VERY finely divided, almost a powder, so I'm hoping it will eventually go out through the screen on the bottom. I am watering all containers the same, and all drain well. I can put a finger down into the mix and just feel the barest moisture at the fingertip, and then I still don't water if nothing is wilting or it looks like rain.

Anyone can rate the roses on the Roses in Review list if they grow them. We always make sure the availability of the survey is announced here when it is ready for ratings. The ratings from a person with just a few roses count just as much as the person with thousands of roses (yes, there are such folks). From my experience I know the big exhibitors who participate do have differences between their Garden and Exhibition ratings for a given variety. They might tend to give a little higher Garden rating for a great exhibition rose than they otherwise might, but it isn't much and there aren't that many of them out of 1,300 - 1,500 participants. Every rose has some good points, or the hybridizer wouldn't have bothered to introduce it. It is always possible that a rose with a low rating will do very well for someone, and that a rose with a high rating will do badly. (I have some examples of that in my garden right now.) However, the ratings give you some idea of the chances that you will get one that really does well. The chances that a rose with a rating of 6.2 will do well for you are clearly lower than the chances for a rose with a rating of 8.8, but it isn't impossible. If you only have the nursery catalogues to go on, you will believe every rose they sell is wonderful and will do a glorious job for you. That obviously isn't true. The RIR ratings give you some feel for how the rose has done for others. To me that is better than having no help at all.

AC - Alternating current (current oscillates from plus to minus, for example, in a circuit supplied by a transformer or an alternator without rectification) DC - Direct current (current flows one way, for example, in a battery powered circuit.) John_G is correct. The voltage rating on a fuse indicates its ability to clear a circuit in a safe and uneventful manner, and within a prescribed time specified by fuse standards under short circuit conditions. The maximum current availability of the supply circuit also affects clearing performance. Therefore, a fuse rated at 250Vac for use in a circuit up to 10,000 amp capability can be applied in an AC circuit up to and including 250Vac, and with short circuit current less than 10,000 amp. The VDC rating may be less. DC circuits are harder to clear than AC circuits because in AC circuits, the current goes through zero twice per voltage cycle. This zero crossing aids in opening the circuit. Never apply a fuse in a circuit where the supply voltage is more than the rating on the fuse. The VAC and VDC ratings are usually different. Watch that difference. A fuse may be marked with only the AC voltage; More information is required to discover its DC rating.

Why not the BlueStar range i.e. 60". They give the most power, configurations of burners, griddle, & charbroiler. The ovens are ALL GAS w/30,000 BTU's. The design of the oven bottom with channels along side, give a very consistent, even heat distribution. The broiler is 1850 degrees and will do a steak better than the outside grill (Just ask Ruth Chris). They are also available in 190 colors (and the knobs too). The wall ovens add an electric element around the convection fan for even better performance. The french doors are awesome (BlueStar has two handles to balance the symmetry). FYI....BlueStar uses brass valves, metal knobs, more cast iron and porcelain than the competition. It is a TRUE commercial range. By the way, the 60" ovens accept a commercial baking sheet (26"x18"). Wolf as well as alomost everyone else will not. Good luck!!! By the way, I own a BlueStar 36" range and have so for 4 1/2 years. The ONLY thing that has been replaced is one igniter that I broke when cleaning. It took me about 3 minutes to replace and is a VERY inexpensive part.
