I think organization is at least as important as sheer storage space. Spread all your bathroom junk out on the floor or bed and pretend you're at a garage sale and that you have to 'buy' anything you want to keep (and not at a too-good-to-pass-ip price). If you don't care enough about it to buy it back now, then throw it away! TOSS those 10-year old lotions and potions! Failed make-up experiments? Throw 'em away! Perfumes and after shaves that aren't your style? Toss 'em! Curlers, straighteners and personal appliances that are no longer being used -- Goodwill 'em. The sheer volume of 'bathroom garbage' may dismay you; but you may also be pleasantly surprised by the 'good stuff' you rediscover simply by tossing the carp. Then sort and group the rest into baskets and bins that are just large enough for what's in them. Storage containers that can be stacked to fully utilize the vertical space will make the most of shelves, and see-through containers and big labels are wonderful! Then put the seldom-used stuff on the hard-to-reach shelves and the used-everyday stuff in the easiest-to-access areas. How much storage space do I have? One small medicine cabinet and an 18" wide by full-height closet. Between those two spaces, I have everything I use plus soap, shampoo, toothcare and deoderant for the entire family.

"Weeping-like honey-down the front door" doesn't sound like caulk - it sounds more like an adhesive or sealant that never sets. The heat from the sun is probably thinning it so it oozes out. Have you tried lacquer thinner? It contains several different solvents, just be careful around the plastic as it may attack it. And it may take the door paint off as well. As far as a good caulk, a paintable caulk that remains flexible and has a long guarantee/service life is probably what you want.

I use the Mr. Mister mop with BONA and microfiber cloths from Solutions. I have wood floors in every room except the bath and laundry. The mop is handy because I can put the BONA inside, but the head tends to flop around and you have to refold/change the cloth every so often. I find it easier to just get on my hands and knees unless I'm doing more than a couple of rooms at a time. I have never used it dry. I don't baby my floors, but those Solutions cloths are very *grabby*. I'd be afraid little rocks would get caught in the cloth and add more scratches to the floor. Before mopping, I use a regular old-fashioned dust mop to push everything out the front or back door. No kiddies here so I don't have to mop very often. I sweep or vacuum every few days and spot clean as necessary. I believe BONA is short for BONAKEMI. I purchase the big jug of floor cleaner from the Bona website. I also use it to clean wood furniture and cabinets - I haven't bought Pledge or Murphy or Endust or anything like that in ages. I could be paying way too much for the BONA. I've never comparison shopped it.

wow. well, if you like the sofa, I think if you changed the wall color and the rug, or, remove that wall paper? Then you could bring in other accents that work w/the brown instead of fighting it. is that an option? the silver/blue wall color coule be redone in a creamier tone. or warmer griege. honestly, that wallpaper is very cool, blue toned, and the sofa is not. they fight each other. so one has to go! Also, have you tried changing your lighting? maybe something a bit cooler might help? for sure I'd get a new area rug. you could try a gray/brown/cream area rug, and bring in some pillows w/an accent color that compiment them. maybe the brown would work w/the paper. but really, I think the paper has to go.
