I was going to give you the instructions I've been collecting, but see you got a teriific link that tells you nearly everything. Did it say to get 6 and a half bags of half marbles to do a regular sized bowling ball? Also I thought this person I'm quoting below had good information on preparation: "I paint mine with Fusion paint for plastics, or I use a plastic primer first and then a spray paint of my choice. I let the ball cure for 2 weeks per the can instructions, then I spray 3-4 layers of an outdoor clear poly on it and let that cure for another day or two, then it can go outside. I also spray it with clear poly every spring and bring them inside for the winter as they could crack depending on what the ball was made of. Make sure you get the waxy coating off the ball first by washing it with a 50/50 vinegar/water solution or rubbing alcohol." Hope some of this helps! We're anxious to see what you do! I don't know for sure that the one you are looking for is on this site, but there are 266 photos of BBs there. Also over 100 pictures of garden art, among other things. There are wonderful pictures there. When you get to the site, click on photos at the top of the page. The next page has several listings but at the bottom of the page ( after the mosiacs heading) it says "All galleries" that is where the Bowling balls are. I don't know how to link....some one else might do that. This group split from garden junk because of Spike's rules (Some of you may remember Spike before IVillage). It's an interesting site. Thank you so much for wanting to add it to the gallery!! How exciting for me!! Believe it or not, the ball started out with a totally different design. On two other sides there are dragonflies, but I couldn't continue that pattern without screwing it up more & more as I went along, so finally I decided to go with this swirl pattern & it filled in perfectly & I wished I had done the whole thing that way. lol... if you read my reply in the 'new roll call' post, where I was telling about all the things I had buried up in the hills....well, along the stash I had, were about 50 of the balls, mostly all black ones..( I know, I showed no restraint, back in those days)..that I got free from a bowling alley.. I had them stashed under the porch at the house we were renting.. the two truck loads of other things from the yard, had already been buried and when it came time to move, I remembered all the balls..so, what to do with them? I wasn't going to haul them all to the house here, so we loaded them up and rather than bury them, they're out in the woods.. now, when a hunter tracks a deer, he can pretty well figure where it has been, by the deer droppings.. I've wondered, from time to time, what any hunter has wondered, if they happen upon those 50 plus balls, out there, along the hunting trails......
