does anyone remember where i can find the picture of the bowling balls with the two faces painted on them? thanks

I don't know for sure that the one you are looking for is on this site, but there are 266 photos of BBs there. Also over 100 pictures of garden art, among other things. There are wonderful pictures there.
When you get to the site, click on photos at the top of the page. The next page has several listings but at the bottom of the page ( after the mosiacs heading) it says
"All galleries" that is where the Bowling balls are. I
don't know how to link....some one else might do that.
This group split from garden junk because of Spike's rules (Some of you may remember Spike before IVillage).
It's an interesting site. I wish more people would visit there. Emnest (Dottie) the moderator, still posts here sometimes.

Nona, here's the clickable link for the "photos" page where folks can go look all the different stuff. I didn't go thru the site yet to see all the neat things, or see the bowling balls. I will later tho.

If you have a large plant pot or planter just flip it over and put the bowling ball on the bottom which becomes the top. How about a tree stump? Old astray stands. Large candle holders. Short stool or ladder. Very large pipe cut to lenght wanted. How about a broken shovel handle, of which I have many.A section of CB Tower with the ball at the top and clematis or roses growing up. Well I had them in the car still, so I ran over to my parents' house & my dad helped me. He's got a drill press & we used a really big drill bit (1 inch). It was easier than we thought. I had no idea what was in the middle of the bowling ball, turns out to be some kind of plastic or resin type material that wasn't very hard to drill through. You could do it with a regular drill if you have a large enough bit, but it would be more difficult. You'll also need someone to hold the ball still & be very very careful. My dad was holding the ball steady & he was wearing heavy gloves just in case. When I told my husband this morning that I was headed out to the bowling alley to get some BBs, he gave me a really funny look. He wanted to know what the heck I'm going to do with them. I told him just wait & see. He scoffs now, but he always likes my projects in the end. I learn something every day. Today I learned how to drill through a bowling ball. I also learned it's fun driving over speed bumps with a box of bowling balls in the car. LOL Virginia

Go over to garden Junk forum and see what the ladies that live in your climate do.If you live where there are harsh wintes you may have to bring them in.I live in S.Calif and mine stay out all year long,365 24/7.I also do mine with the 1/2 marbles and the GE silicone glue. My sister in N.Y. state also has some in her garden,but i never thought to ask her what she does in the winter.Will have to remember to do that. Kathi

MW, my first thought was "interesting" but that has been used by quite a few people so I'll say "artistic" because that is what I think of people that can come up with such creative works of art. I would love to hold it and just look into those faces; I don't want to think about cutting those dolls (poor little things) but love to look at their faces. HRSG, I like the eyes looking back at you in your mirror. Again, very creative. Reminds me of "Mirror, mirror on the wall" because it's lookin at ya.
