Here's last year's little tree. I'm trying to psych myself up to decorate this year.

Oh Moni that is too bad.

The canyon where this was taken is about 60 or 70 miles as the crow flies from the Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument. That area was dated at about 1300 or 1400 using dendrochronology from the wooden beams in the ceiling. It is also about the same distance from the Mimbres River Valley that produced a lot of pottery in that same time period. The petroglyphs are in a VERY remote area and I think only a handful of people know that they exist. I stumbled upon them by accident one day and could barely believe what I had found.

My poor DH has to do it. If it were up to me, I'd put out 3-4 decorations and call it Christmas.

What kind of tree is that Moni? It's only bent right now, not broke. Hope it doesn't break.

She got it from "Princess House", I think it's home parties only, not from a store.

Looks like they don't carry it any more *sigh*, thanks anyway.

My tree is a bald cypress. Still very young, and I hope it as well as the other one will snap back up to "attention" as soon as the ice melts. We'll see. Meanwhile, a big tree out front has enough damage it will have to come out.
