I'm glad you like it! The loveseat back to the front door bugs me too. I can't find a console table I like yet. I wanted to put one behind the sofa, I just don't know if it would look strange to have one behind the sofa and the loveseat too. This room is huge so there is a lot of leeway for furnture placement. I just have no clue what I'm doing. I always had tiny houses before. I'll have to measure and get the exact dimensions. I want to paint the kitchen Haven by sherwin williams. I had it in my last kitchen and it was gorgeous! So much so that one of my friends painted her living room the same shade. She also has an open floor plan and lots of bright colors and it really looks great. I mix and match lots of colors all of the time so I don't think it will clash. Even if it technically does, I probably would still like it! I like high contrast in colors, it makes them all pop. So would you all suggest roman shades on the sliders and nook windows both? Or panels? Or panels on one and shades on the other? The nook is really confusing. The 3 sides of the window are connected, like a bay window I guess. I think your inspiration photo is close to an actual photoshop of your space, should you go with a granite slab counter. The difference is that the top of your cabinets has a rounded arch at the top of each door, the inspiration pic has straight lines. You mention you might go with granite tile, then the tile/beadboard combo would make the space quite busy looking so I'd go with tile only backsplash, in that instance. If I were you, I'd post a picture of your actual finished counter before deciding on the backsplash. Your inspiration pic is very pretty but the more I look at it, the more I find it busy looking, with all the vertical lines popping at me.

After the stone is up, she might have a dozen new color directions to chase. :D Exterior isn't like interior. Interior you do not have to have every last stitch in place to fit a room with color. As long as the basics, permanent elements are in place you can work color. Exterior isn't near as malleable because Mr. Sunshine is so darn intense and direct outside. Get the foundation covered in stone and then take another look. I'm thinking, with the stone in place, she should consider going light and neutral on the body or commit big and go with a dark, punchy color scheme with some drama. Safe midtones could add up to just a mediore color outcome for that house. A really cute house, btw.

Hey guys the rain finally broke, and it is not hot as hell so we FINALLY got a chance to start painting and I had to take in process photos with my camera phone to shar with you guys. I tried to take the same angles as the before photos. Now the house is not finished. We still have not painted the doors or the trim and have not put up the window boxes yet. The trim is going to be cream and I forgot what colow we picked for the door. So here it is. It remarkably looks a lot like one of squirrelhavens rendition. I loooove elephant ears and I hope I do not wind up regretting planting them by the fron door even though we NEVER use it. I also used a paver mold to redo the walkway in the front. the brick that were then has made the planter on the side of the house. It loooks sooooo good even though it is not finished photos taken with a blackberry pearl cell phone!! Not bad for a camera phone!!
