Some of the damage from last Friday's wind storm. Our bird feeder tree lost half of itself, we'll wait till fall to cut it down.

What a shame to lose part of that tree, bigack!

This is from last year. On Monday through Thursday we will be with 4 young grandsons at the same place. We have never done this with all 4. A little nervous about keeping them happy!

jae_tn.....did you visit El Yunque rain forest? Arecibo Observatory? Rio Camuy Caves?

Nichole - didn't make it to any of them, unfortunately. The first trip was too short to do much because we were visiting our son and his wife shortly after they moved there in the Navy. They hadn't been to many of the "must see's" either at that time. We took a sailboat trip, which was wonderful, and snorkeled. They eventually did some awesome scuba trips to out islands and loved the rain forest. The second trip was 16 days but was for the birth of our granddaughter and no tourist trip then either! I did get to see some real slummy neighborhoods between San Juan and the Naval Base and passed the road to go up to the rain forest......Oh yeah, we tried to kayack to the Bioluminescence bay, I think it was called, but the guy never showed up with the kayacks so went drinking in the grimiest outdoor bar you ever seen. It was also in the slumy neighborhood, lol. Thanks for jogging my memory!

jae_tn.....we've been on vacation there a few times. We really like it. I personally had a discussion with my DH about moving there.

Yes...they have a LOT of low end areas. Oh....and sex shops. :0) They also have factories for every pharmaceutical company in the world. I've spoken to a few Americans that moved there and now want their old lives back. Being a scuba diver it's the perfect place to visit....:0)
