My DD#2 makes cookies from a spice cake mix, a can of pumpkin pie mix and choc chips~~~my DS hoards and hides most of them as soon as they come in the house. I never even got '1' this year;(

How did you make yours??

YogaLady1948 You can use any kind of cake mix. I used a chocolate fudge you add 2 eggs and 1/3 cup oil. I added 1/2 cup each of peanut butter chips and mini M&M's. Roll into ball and place on Ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350ð for 9-12 minutes (depends on your oven).

I have been feeling so poorly for the past month that I have not done my usual baking. Had nothing to offer the neighbor kids who had called Sunday morning to schedule a visit for that afternoon. Pulled a Duncan Hines yellow cake mix from the pantry that had a recipe on it for snickerdoodles. Just add 2 eggs and a 1/4 cup of oil plus cinnamon and sugar to roll the dough balls in. These will surely be a disappointment I thought, but I was desperate. To my surprise, they were very good. Not quite the from scratch taste, but close enough that I would do it again.

At one time i had a cookbook that listed all the ways you could make cookies etc from cake mixes. Not sure if it avaiable or not any more. Did have some great ideas.

Marie, I see it in Goodwill stores. I have a copy, but rarely bake cookies, so it doesn't get used much. I might dig it out and see what I can make.

I managed to find some leftover "slice and bake" cookie dough in my freezer, so I made about 20 cookies. And I had promised everyone no baking this year!
