I've looked at $Tree and Big Lots and they didn't have any. They must have been added to the Endangered List.

And of course didn't think about it when I was in any other stores.

I want some ball point pen refills. I have a couple of pens I really like, but they are out of ink. I've looked at office supply places, but the refills I see have the brand name of the pen they are made for and I can't find the brand name on the pens I like.

i've always wanted an energizer bunny....I saw them at Walgreens yesterday...but DANG...i'm not buying it for myself...I did buy a kitchen sink yesterday...YEEE HAA!! i love porcelain...i've been putting up with stainless since we moved years ago and I hate it..ya clean it up and 5 minutes later...it's dirty with water spots...so now if I can just get hubster to install it...

My Christmas list is usually just a "Honey DO" or "Honey CLEAN" list!! like Detail my car...pick up your office..clean out your papers and receipts...i'm pretty easy to make happy!

I'm with Lindsay. My daughter knows how much I enjoy those ads with all the different gnomes. So she asked me if I wanted one for Christmas to put in my garden. So I'm really curious as to what she and her brothers found.

Lindsey_ca, I have been looking for a traveling knomb to use as a doorstop in the office at school. While I was visiting my parents, I dug out "DOC" from my 7 drawf collection (only have 6!) from when I was a kid. He is a little rough for the wear- my neices helped make him "more colorful. But he is happily sitting infront of the door. Figured he was the most appropriate since we are all in a doctoral program!

Several yrs ago I asked for a garbage can with wheels--Kids thought I was nuts! I did get one as a joke, but believe me, its one of the most useful gifts I have ever received! They still make fun of me!

I for one would much prefer something that's needed and useful as opposed to something that just needs dusted, or stored and maybe seldom, if ever used b4 being regifted or sent to the Goodwill.

All I want is an address book. DH wants a filet knife. We usually buy ourselves whatever we need, so it is hard to come up with gift ideas. DS likes "weird" food. Hot pickled sausage, pickled habaneros, tomatoes in olive oil, black and green olives, green tea, several kinds of sardines. etc. So, he is easy to buy for.

For Dh's birthday this year i bought him a metal detector. He has bugged me for one for years. Yes, my DH is the geek at the beach looking for some great burried treasure. To go along with it i also bought a big brim straw hat and a container of the heavy nose sunblock. I really want everyone to see the geek he is. He wears the hat often.LOL!

An address book! There's something else we need! I bought us a nice one some years ago, but it's become a scribbled mess with people moving so often.

Oh I've always wanted a metal detector. I know people up north and here in FL that have found all kinds of valuable things. One guy found a diamond engagement ring.

So far DH has found 36 cents. But I'll take the ring if he ever found one.

I've always wanted night vision glasses. I don't want to have to ask for them though. I just want someone to "know".LOL

Some of you must be snooping in DHs closet. I bought him a very nice metal detector a few years ago for Christmas. He was very excited about it that day and we found an old silver dollar on our property! Since then, it has gathered dust. *sigh*

I bought him a night vision monacle (sp?) thing last year. He took it hunting, and a buddy who is a little more tech-savvy helped him figure out how to use it. They thought it was very cool at camp, but it gathers dust the rest of the year. *shrug*

It took me forever to figure out that DH won't read the books that I thought he'd like. Now I need to get it through my thick skull that he's not a gadget guy either.

Wildchild, what you need to do is, at every opportunity, just "casually" mention how cool it would be to have some night vision glasses. Maybe if you say it often enough, he'll get the hint. Works for me -- that's how I get hubs to get me all sorts of stuff. :-)

silly thing I want(well I got my singing pizza elmo:) but I keep telling DH that I want a day off.
I realized that us "stay at home moms" (even if it is sah to 3 dogs) never get a day off.
I would love it if he would take care of the dogs for just one day , feed them, get up what seems like a gazillion times a day to let them out. Why they all can't do their business at the same time ???

oh yeah and sweat pants with pockets. so when I walk in the mornings I have a place to put my stuff.

i'm so practical..but really want a new cutting board...(one of the clear plastic) and new toaster...

if i had the space, they have a fab clock at sam's club by seiko...play tunes, etc...
