Sueb, I seem to be in the minority with the Is This Tomorrow book. It got pretty good reviews on Goodreads, but I just thought did not like the writing or the story line. I wonder if I missed something! I can't wait to read Me Before You - I read another JoJo Moyes book this summer and while the subject matter didn't sit that well with me (involves an affair), I really liked it. I also loved The Kitchen House, Defending Jacob and Elizabeth Berg books. Looking at your list, it seems we have similar tastes so not sure what it was about that Caroline Leavitt book but though I finished, it wasn't one I'd typically recommend. I just finished about called The History of a Pleasure Seeker. Oh my! I never read that really erotic book (can't think of the name of it but it was all the rage earlier this year tho' didn't interest me) but um, this book was had quite a few erotic sex scenes that I had no idea before I read the book. I thought the book was actually fairly well written for a new writer but the ending was lacking. I have no idea how I happened upon it - I didn't have it on my list of books to read so I think it must have been on display and I grabbed it on a whim. Totally not the genre I typically read but it was a decent read.

I've read many of his books and short stories, and love many of them too. I'm not normally a big horror fan, with the exception of King, and so plenty of his stories are not horror at all. I particularly love the film adaptations of "(Rita Hayworth and the) Shawshank Redemption" and The Body, re-titled "Stand by Me." I don't feel compelled to read all of his books yet, though, 'cause I want to have lots to look forward to. Jenna..I recommended Gone Girl to my librarian and when she put it on the list, she was 299. I went to the authors website and told her how much I liked her book and recommended it to so many and received a nice thank you from her. I reserved her other two books as well. I read Defending Jacob. It was good, husband didn't like it though. I'm now reading Before I go to Sleep..S J Watson. Another amnesia book but am liking it so far.

Karen I haven't heard of her. I tend to read more 'thrillers' and I admit I get most of my recommendations from another forum that I participate in that is just for Mysteries & Thrillers. Authors such as Brian Haig and Steven Hartov and Thomas Cook...I would have to refer back to my Book Log but I have enjoyed all those recommendations. I use The Fantasic Fiction web site or "Stop Your Killing Me" for the lists of titles by the authors in the order written which I prefer when the author has a recurring main character. Pat
