That's a GREAT story!!

I remember some years back taking my mom to get some lengthy tests done at the hospital. It was on Valentine's Day. I took a sack of heart-shaped red suckers and gave one to everyone we met, from the admissions clerk to the x-ray folks to the Pink Lady volunteers. As I handed over each one before they'd done a single thing, I thanked these perfect strangers for being nice to my mom. They were all so surprised, but it brought me joy, too.

I was always losing my mittens as a child. We had to walk about 3/4 of a mile to catch the school bus and often got to the stop quite early. Then we'd go to the neighborhood grocery store and buy some penny candy. One day just before Christmas, the store clerk had noticed by bare hands and gave me a beautiful pair of maroon mittens, hand-knitted in a checkerboard pattern. I dearly loved those mittens and never lost them. Thanks Olga, my long-ago Christmas angel.

That is very sweet. I would be wiping a tear from my eye as I checked my pockets, making sure she didn't just rob me - bwa ha ha haaaa!

It is funny you say that dances....as I walked out of the store, I was thinking, should I be scared that she just got in my space? But no, it was so heartfelt, I could tell.
And she had just handed me back my card, and you could just tell she was a good person. I had to dash those bad fleeting thoughts from my mind.
It makes me crazy that people cannot be friendly without us thinking that there is something wrong behind their intentions. But that is the way of the world now a days....

She made my day, and I wish more people could do these goofy things without another thought.

I remember one time I was having a bad day and went to the gym. I was feeling really blah (mentally) when this woman came up to me and told me she liked my smile and I looked like such a nice person. We started talking for a minute, and while she was a little odd and probably kind of lonely, she seemed very genuine. She told me about a list of health problems she had and I realized I needed to be thankful for what I had!!

Her little compliment made me feel better for such a long time!

Trinity...for just a few minutes...you were a guest in her home...or her office...or her store...I think the fact that you let her spread her cheer was pretty darn nice of ya....and didn't ya just leave that place with a big ole smile on your face...Well I'd say she done her job and did it darned good!!
