How are they getting in? If you can block the places where they get in then you wait until they are gone at night and block their re-entry places. Don't trap them inside or they will die inside and stink up the place. Most likely there are openings up in the rafters or roof. It does not take much of an opening for a bat to squeeze in. I had some in an attic one time and it was because during a storm the attic vent cover (just a small one on the front of the house shaped like a small triangle) had blown down. My husband put it back up just as I noticed the screening that had been behind it was still on the ground. Well, he said tough I'm done. Later that summer as I had a cup of coffee on the front porch in the early morning, the bats would return from their nightly insect feeding in the corn fields and fly right into the tiny sliver of an opening in that vent to roost in the attic. We didn't notice any problem with them as I don't think there were that many, but the point being it was a small, slatted vent and they could get in. Sometimes one would bump into the slat and miss, but then it would try again and get part-way in and then scramble the rest of the way in, squeezing through sideways if need be. Female bats like warmer places than the males bats. And you are right - don't kill them. Bats are important. They can't help it the warehouse is a perfect roost to them. Build it and they will come. Build it right and they won't get in. You need to prevent them from getting in by watching in the early morning when they come in, to find the places that need to be covered with the screening. Then lock them out during the night when they are off hunting by screening off the openings. They will be forced to go somewhere else. In a big warehouse it may take a while to find all the places they get in, but if you keep at it you will do it. If they are not flying in and out right now, but holed up due to cold weather, then wait until they are on the move when the weather warms up. They do leave each night to eat, like clockwork.

Yes. When using Firefox (the one I just updated to), if I type http://www.google.com I now get directed to igoogle...always. In my version of Firefox (3.6.17) it is no longer possible to get the the plain old, cleaner-looking Google.com homepage anymore. Raven, the links you sent did not help to remedy this. Even the mentioned http://www.google.com/ncr sends me to the same page, iGoogle (personalizable page). I guess that's how it has to be with this version of Firefox. On the other hand, IE still let's me go to http://www.google.com. Although I'm not a Mac user, I read a thread on a Mac forum that mentions this iGoogle redirect as far back as 2005.

I usually reset IE back to it's defaults (advanced tab of Internet Options). That's useful if one of the add ins is causing the problem. You can also uninstall all of the updated versions to get back to IE8, in case one of the updates got corrupted. I sometimes see web page display issues when the 64 bit version is used. Windows 7 comes with both the standard 32 bit and the 64 bit IE.

I've had mostly pleasant Google surprises rather than shocks, when Googling old boyfriends. Overall, it seems their lives turned out not only happy and healthy (so far, knock wood) but pretty much as they planned: English major turned English teacher, journalism major turned journalist, free spirited long-haired beach bum turned, ummm, guy who lives very well although not technically 'employed', on the beach in an Asian country where (at least before legalization) he could more readily access his favorite herb. All three former bf's still married to their original wives, even. Regarding old friends and roommates I'd lost track of...I've had some surprises there as well. A roommate I thought would marry the rabbinical scholar her parents would find for her, I found married to someone who could not be farther from it--literally, could never have imagined the match she made and I would love to know (though would never ask) how they came to be together. A classmate who I did not appreciate much but who was part of a group of friends I belonged to in college is a well-regarded writer with a home featured in the NYT for its style. Another classmate was featured in the NYT Vows section, and I started to wonder whether I was the only one from the rural midwest who didn't move to NYC and live with such flair! I've never even been in the local paper. And, oh, the prettiest girl in my high school is still the prettiest. And the very handsome boy I had a perpetual crush on but who couldn't have picked me out of a lineup is still extremely (I mean really!) good looking but his politics are so out of line with mine I can't really regret not making his cut.
