A Good Workman never....

blames his tools. That's something I remember an early boss telling me when I was complaining about my manual typewriter. Not always true.

I've spent the last week painting a bedroom that was last painted 22 years ago. By me. Actually it held up well, but needed "refreshing".

Although I will always prefer oil paints, even with their clean-up problems, etc., being in California, latex is now the way to go. So I bought a top of the line Benjamin Moore enamel paint, but was not satisfied with the look of the wood trim & three doors. Kept doing & redoing, wanting it to look somewhat like the oil enamel did years ago. Then I remembered a paint brush I once bought at a garage sale from a retiring professional painter who probably spent $30 or $40 on it. Oh so much better than my $10 brush. I might even like painting again.
