Have Any Of You Gotten Your KT Cards?

I got two in today's mail and one the other day. Thanks Stoney Baloney, Janie_ga, and Lynn D. I had hoped for a note too :) Has any one else gotten cards yet?

Glenda...the second stimulous is in the form of less $$ withheld from paychecks...people who have jobs will take home a little bit more. Since those of us who get SS have no tax $$ withheld, the "stimulus" we get is lump sum of $250. How it gets to you depends on how you get your monthly SS money. If you get a paper check, you get your $250 in the mail, a paper check. If your monthly SS is automatically deposited in a bank account, your $250 will be deposited in that account. Since these $250 "stimulus checks" are going only to those who are on SS or SSI or SSD rolls, the government is using the SS payment method to deliver it.

Love finding deals for my remodel! Use Ebay alot to buy lighting (Murray Feiss) and plumbing fixtures (Pegasus) and even bought my Jacuzzi Whirlpool bath via ebay $300!! A friend of mine picked it up for me in Richmond, Va because he traveled that way alot to visit family. Lowe's is my next favorite place for deals. When they have markdowns. I bought 2 French Doors for $150/ea. - 2 Pella storm doors (NIB) for $10/ea. and 3 polyvinyl designer screen doors for $5/ea.!! Bought all stainless steel appliances there as well on deep deep discount as well. My best adventure is buying all my kitchen, bath and laundryroom cabinetry from the Kraftmaid warehouse in Lordstown. Spending $60-$95 on most base, upper and vanities. My huge double door pantry with pullouts -$135!! ;^) . Cabinets are hickory and cherry. (you can find out more about Kraftmaid warehouse by searching these forums). The savings of these finds and doing the remodel ourselves makes it easier to justify some up the upgrades we have made like adding a wet/dry central vac system. Finding these bargains has been the fun part of a long remodeling project. Happy hunting fellow bargain hunters!

Kittiemom, I don't envy you the task of selling your childhood home. I didn't have to do that, but I did have to sell my parents' retirement home, where they lived for 30+ years. Not fun. Mary, what you accomplished must have given you a real boost in terms of confidence and self-esteem. I'm not suggesting you needed that, but it's what usually happens when someone develops a new skill or learns something about a previously unfamiliar field. Good work! Rob, yes, keep that up. Anxiety breeds anxiety, so it's important to fight back whenever you can. Taking that first step was probably the hardest, and as you discovered, it reaped rewards. When I was in my forties I started experiencing anxiety and became afraid to drive. I don't know what caused it (perimenopause?), but it was not a welcome turn of events! As I've often said, I'm a car person, and I love to drive. It felt so unnatural to have become a wimp about it. So I fought back, and got myself back to normal. Whew! Salgal, I can't relate at all. Which means I'm jealous. LOL Dedtired, good for you for giving it a shot. I bet you'll have a blast. A couple of years ago I found myself in a crammed, noisy singles bar (very young singles) with some of my family, including my granddaughter. She was the right age to fit in; I most certainly was not. But we all did a little chatting/bantering with the young clientele and had fun. With your guitarist to listen to, you'll have even more fun! (I'm guessing it's not Willie Nelson because he's 81.) :-)

Greetings, Mary Ann and Jammer. I, too, am sending good thoughts and hopes your way, Mary Ann. Along with some warm hugs. ((((((Mary ann and Jammer)))))) And prayers to the One who loves us with a limitless, everlasting love, that things may go well with you and that complete healing may be forthcoming. During a recent discussion on the causes of a someone's enjoying good health, someone suggested that good genes help a lot. Someone else said that a positive attitude, feeling at home in this precious world that God has given us was very important. And someone else said that taking care of one's body, mind and spirit were very important components, as well. It appears that you've done well on most of those counts, so far. Keep up the good work. ole joyful

I have three! This is my third year, and each year I'm excited to see the cards come in from all over the world. My world is getting smaller - sometimes that's a great thing.

Happy Holidays to ALL.

I have got about 3, I think, am working on something to put in mine. Hope all enjoy. Whether they are homemade or not, I appreciate all. Mine are not homemade this year. Too many things happening, like sickness, end of year stuff for a couple of offices, deaths of friends etc.

I received 2 cards yesterday but I haven't had the chance to open them yet to see who they are from. I finally got out to buy cards today and will get mine off this week after I get some stamps.

It is fun receiving and sending out cards isn't it?

I've received four, and they're hanging on the fireplace mantel. My cards went out yesterday, except for nookie's. Don't know what the postage should be, but will research that today. This is really fun!
