Jodi, the second one doesn't need cropped.

I love the first one, but don't want the couple in. Somehow on that trip, they ended up in lots of my pictures.
They were with our group, nice couple, but I just don't want them in my picture.

I like the vibrant colors of the first picture, it's beautiful.

But the second picture is closer of you, which I think would be nice for your GS. Also love the castle/arena/building.

The resolution of the photos is very low so the print out quality won't be great.

I like the first one the best. The color and composition is better.

I had already done the second one as portrait and landscape before I read your second post, so here are all of them.

Glenda, usually the minimum resolution for printing is 150dpi. At 5"x7" yours are 65dpi. In order to look good on a monitor the resolution can be in the ballpark of 96. So the pics are even a little under optimum resolution for monitor viewing. But ... I would not hesitate to have them printed, as a photo is a priceless possession.

Print them, frame them and give them. They will be cherished.

I hope you don't mind me butting in. The background is so beautiful on the first one it would be nice to keep as much as possible. What if they were erased?

Kat, I don't know about photo printing, but I know I have taken prints in and they have printed them.

I have used them to make calendars.

Wouldn't Kinkos also crop for you? They advertize being able to put together all sorts of presentations so I would think they could. All you clever people simply amaze me! Ron, I'm going to have to buy photoshop and learn how to use it. That's fantastic.

You could upload them to Walgreens photo and get them in real photo paper... walgreesn, riteaid, longs drugs... costco.. they all do that.

Friend has photo paper and just emailed me she has done them and I will be pleased.

My problem was I didn't have prints and deleted them from my digital camera and no color ink to print them out myself.

I am glad Jodi cropped out the guy in the blue shirt with the big belly.
Your DGS will be so happy to have your pics. What a thoughtful thing to do.

Glenda...is this going to be a Christmas gift for DGS? It's a nice gesture, but if it IS a Christmas gift, don't get your tinsel in a tangle if he doesn't act all thrilled. I guess I'm just thinking a boy his age probably doesn't have "family" pictures decorating his walls/room.

You've gone to so much trouble getting people to fix and print the picture for you...I really hope he likes it!!*S*

bump, that's so funny that you said that! I remember giving my nephew, when he was about 12, a really nice (I thought!) picture of him and me hugging. I loved it! He looked at it and said "um, no offense, but you don't expect me to keep this out where my friends will see it, do you"? HAHA!!! I roared at that! He was so right, of course. I know he liked it and kept it (we are very close), but he kept it in a drawer!

Glenda...did you give Parke,Jr. the picture? How'd he like it?

I gave both Parke's a pic. PSR the one at Edinburgh Castle and PJR the one with the Scotsman.

PJR still likes having pics of me. Their house, his mother's caught fire, and his pictures of me were gone. And he was sad.

He loves them especially of my travels and pics with him.

He's still Grandmother's boy!
