Gave the threesome 4 nights 3 days at Park City for skiing and snowboarding.

In case you are wondering, the little girl, is one of two nieces on DIL's side, they have taken in for foster care.

Being as son was really sick on Christmas Day, the gifts for all of DIL's family had already been sent and given.

So gifts today were for son, gs and dil.

Haley was excited just to enjoy the fellowship and good eats :o) Her sister was back at home with a stomach virus :o(

That's great news. I am happy for you especially since your son is military. No matter how any of us feel about the war, we appreciate our military people. We spent many holidays alone. Because of the parents and step parents issue, I decided what ever day my children could be with us was "the" holiday. The Christmas my oldest granddaughter was four, they were stationed in Abeline. We lived in San Antonio and my son's father lived in Kingsvile and my DIL's mother lived in Robstown. The kids had their Christmas at home and then drove to SA. The next day we had our Christmas. The day after they drove to Robstown and had Christmans at my DIL's mother's house. They went to my ex's on Christmas morning and had Christmas. Soooooo,my granddaughter got up the day after Christmas expecting it all to happen again. She was a tad disappointed.

the hunt IS fun. ha just like ebay. bid fighting down to the last second! and the a package shows up in the mail later for the SURPRISE!!!! I acutally had a friend that lives two blocks from the lady get it for me. Without me seeing it!!! Got to see it this morning. Not exactly what i pictured but i like it. I'll take some pics when i get it in place. It does drive me nuts when people describe as "has a few scratches" there's more than a few scratches. Isn't like gardenchic1's end table legs but they are spindle. it also has a drawer. For now i'm sure old english will be my friend but it would probably be a piece to refinish. I'll post pics later!

Hey Guys, Yesterday I dug them up and disinfected all the tools. I have about 4 that I bought at our equivalent of big box stores-they look fine,don't know if they are the culprits.The ones I get from Van den top I trust totally as he guarantees virus free hostas. About 2 times a year someone from buildings maintenance comes and rakes leaves.Usually they are very respectful and careful of the gardens. A few years ago a woman came to do this work and cut down some scapes. Previously I have always used different tools for this sort of thing. A pair of scissors for the big box ones and another pair for everything else. I hope it is just isolated and has not spread. Very sorry to hear that you have it too Dennis. Good for people on this side of the pond to know about this. I have never seen it at the nurseries here.

Noooo no toilet seat! GS along with a nice watch did give me a jar of Jiffy peanut butter :o) He knows his grandmother!

Oh Glenda. I am so sorry about the toilet seat. I think they think you are only kidding. Little do they know. I am sure they are thrilled with the ski trip.

What a nice gift, Glenda. And good for you for including your DIL despite the history there. Of course that was the right thing to do. Were you surprised that she came?

How about going out and buying your own toilet seat (I agree that they think you're kidding), and then telling Parke Sr. that it would be a wonderful gift if he could install it for you?

It's really not difficult, but I understand that that's not the point and you don't want to do it. So get the seat you want and ask him to put it on for you.
