2 1/2 years ago, my husband was bitten by a dog while on the job. He knew there was a dog, so he did what he had to do quickly before ringing the doorbell to let them know he had their vehicle on his truck. The lady opened her garage door and there was the dog, all happy, tail wagging, the whole nine yards. My husband pet the dog and he seemed friendly. Until the lady stepped out of the garage and went into the house (attached to the garage). My husband turned his back on the dog, who then bit the back of his leg. He kicked the dog off of him, then the dog went for the back of the other leg. He kicked him off again. The dog bit the back of the 1st leg again, catching his teeth around the thin tendon on the back of the knee and started pulling. My husband managed to kick the dog off again and this time the dog jumped up and went for the back of my husbands neck! The lady called her daughter to come and get the dog. In the meantime, a smaller dog came into the garage, and the one that bit my husband grabbed that dog by the tail and dragged it back into the house!

This lady had the nerve to say she warned my husband that the dog bites! He would never turn his back on a dog who he knows will bite. He was off work for several months and had to go to physio therapy. He could barely walk and still has problems with that leg today. WCB called us up about 6 months after he went back to work to ask if my husband would help them with a lawsuit. They wanted their money back that they paid my husband, from the woman who owned the dog. I told them I wanted my husband to hire a lawyer and sue her too for pain and suffering. WCB took care of that for us!!! The cheque is in the mail. The WCB attorney called yesterday and said he thought we would have had it yesterday. This will be a good ending to a tough year. I won't specify how much he's getting, but we have plans for it and things will look better for 2011!!!
