Grant's getting ready for little sister (pic)

A few friends threw me a surprise "Pink Party" yesterday (because I was adament about not having a baby shower) for Camryn's upcoming arrival.

My mom got her this adorable baby pram!! I LOVE it. Apparently Grant did too. He didnt have a baby to put in it so he just borrowed my moms friends foster baby. Little Tina was perfectly happy going along for the ride and Grant was even happier giving her the ride. LOL

Looks like Grant will be a happy big brother. He really looks big next to the baby, doesn't he? Cute pram.

I hope the party was wonderful, Steph! You needed some baby girl stuff. What an adorable pram. And the boy ain't half-bad, either! lol

Any more pictures to share? I know I'd like to see some more of the party and the goodies. I bet the decor was adorable, too. Cake?

grant is such a cutie steph. was he excited to see his easter basket in the morning? i took my nephew, TJ, his basket from us yesterday. he is 2 1/2, and he didn't really care much. just wanted to watch his "bee movie" that i got him. i got him sidewalk chalk too, but kinda hard to play with that with snow on the ground. lol. do you do "the easter bunny"? if so, next year he will understand that and will be a lot more excited. i miss the santa and easter bunny days (and tooth fairy and cupid). thanks, again, for sharing grant with us steph. hugs! tammy

Grant is the cutest little guy! Love seeing pics of him. My grands are getting so old, lol, the oldest now is 13, but still my special little girl, as she lived with us the first 18 months of her life with my daughter while finishing her senior year of high school and such. Was not the ideal thing at the time, but I would not want to change it for the world now! Thanks for sharing pics of your special little guy.

tkaye - Unfortunately this greenhouse is no longer made. It was made by the PBM-GROUP. The last time they made it was 2003. I got it used and had to replace a third of the glass panels. Check Craigslist for used ones or if you have a Harbor Freight close by they sell greenhouses for a very reasonable price. It is a kit that you put together. Check out the GW Greenhouse Forum. Your table is screaming for a tablecloth. As others have said, the room has a very formal, elegant feel. (I like that). Follow that feel with your table and everything will look great Worry less about the walls and windows... focus your attention where your guests I will be! A book I heartily recommend to anyone: "The Art of the Table, a Complete Guide to Table Setting, Table Manners, and Tableware" by Suzanne von Drachenfels c. 2000, Simon & Schuster. This book explains it all, with great good humor, and tells you how to "make do" when you don't have all the proper "stuff" and/or are unsure about how to pull it all together. I see a lovely tablecloth (over a hushcloth, to deaden the table noise), with napkins to either "match" or provide a SUBTLE contrast. A simple centrepiece (a cornucopia with some fruit?) or NOT, depending on the available space on your table; maybe a discreet pair of candlesticks? Your "best" china and flatware; OR whatever you HAVE but sparkling clean and laid with care as to how far from the table's edge, everything in alignment, napkins crisply pressed and neatly folded THE SAME WAY AT EVERY PLACE. The most important thing is that you pay attention to detail. You can mix and match to your heart's content, but beautiful tables begin and end with attention to detail. All the rest is up to the company and the food... good fun conquers the oversights (be a love and pass the wine, won't you, dear?). ;) Here's what the basic white tablecloth can do with some imagination; even the "everyday stuff" looks fancier: I was pleased with the centrepiece in the first shot above, here are some others I liked, too:

DD tells me that the toddler boys fight over the toy baby strollers at Mommy and Me classes. Anything with wheels.

He looks so cute...and really good next to pink! He's going to love being a big brother! I love that pram! Your mom told me about it...sooo cute! I also saw the things she made for your shower...she's amazing! Show us what you got now!!

It really is the cutest little doll buggy! My house looked like a add for everything pink! Pink balloons, pink and brown plates etc and pink roses. It was really pretty and there was no mistaking there is a baby girl on the way.
Everyone keeps asking me what I have made for her, surprising enough I have sewn very few things.
I did make Camryn an adorable outfit for her first trip to Disneyland. I also make her and outfit and Grant a matching shirt in Hawaiian fabric for our Hawaii trip.
Not clothes but I made several dozen bows and put them all into a bouquet. And of course I made a diaper cake.
Maybe Steph can post the picture of the Hawaii outfits.

Oh my gosh! How sweet!!! Grant is getting some good experience pushing the pram. How adorable that is! I love everything you've made Jenni! Wow! I can just see the pretty bow bouquet in Camryn's nursery. What a great diaper cake too. I LOVE the little Disney outfit, it's darling!

If you didn't say it was a real baby I would have thought that it was a doll. She looks very much like the other little girl that was a foster child when Grant was born.

That's one of the most gorgeous diaper cakes that I've ever seen.
