My little greenhouse with my little helper. (lots pics)

It may not be big, only 4ft x 4ft, but I can cram a lot of plants in there. I started 7 different kinds of tomatoes and 2 kinds of peppers, plus about 5 winter squash and several other veggies. Lots of flowers seeds including 8 different sunflowers. The red flower is Minerva amaryllis. I have 6 different bulbs of that in the greenhouse. I also have a lot of roses cuttings that I hope to root that I added after I took these pictures.

Elvira likes to help by being on lizard guard duty. DH built the deck it rests on and put it on concret piers to make it level and so air would circulate.

I would kill to have a greenhouse like this. What a beautiful amaryllis!

Looks like you have a great start on Summer, and with a helper like that, how could you not? :)

Cool GH Duke!! Your tomato plants look so healthy and it looks like you will be enjoying the fruits of your labor very soon.....LOL...I LOVE fried green tomatoes, so that little baby that you posted a pick of would be such a temptation for me!!! Thanks so much for sharing your photos. I just ordered the GH from Harbor Freight also!! I'm really excited, this will be our first GH. I've got my fingers crossed that it will work out for us. Can't wait to get it although I will be using it more this fall and winter for next Spring.

Kim - am so glad you got all set up over bryan way. did you find a good source for sux? made a trip up here to longhorn country to check out the spots we suggested? your gh looks much like the one i built last year - works great, no? WSG - i am right up the road from Kim and here we get perhaps 6-12 nights a yr when it goes to 25-32 (lite freeze by my definition) and perhaps a couple below 25 (hard freeze - again my definition). (my brother is saying my estimation is off by as many as 7 days (combined) per year...but mom agrees with me - so there ya have it LOL) either way, i doubt Kim will get much use of a heater. i use those little xmas lites myself. lol kim by the time it feels fall to you from ohio it will be spring again!

Wow, I love it! Really brightens and lightens things up. When I saw the before pic something triggered in my memory that I know this house, know this person. I had not looked at who posted but thought someone was copying auntjen or it was auntjen. And it is! Isn't it amazing how we can take something as simple as wall color and make all the things we love look that much better?! What I love about this home is that it is so personal yet done so well. Not everyone can pull of what she has.

Clare, that's a wonderful greenhouse and a beautiful amaryllis. They are one of my favorites. LOL at Elvira. She is doing a grand job of checking out and guarding everything.

Beautiful amaryllis. I have a lot of them in different colors. The last one blooming now is bright red, with 6 blossoms on it.

Very nice flowers, and I love your helper. My dog Molly accompanies me when I garden in my back yard. She "supervises" my diggibg.

tkaye - Unfortunately this greenhouse is no longer made. It was made by the PBM-GROUP. The last time they made it was 2003. I got it used and had to replace a third of the glass panels. Check Craigslist for used ones or if you have a Harbor Freight close by they sell greenhouses for a very reasonable price. It is a kit that you put together. Check out the GW Greenhouse Forum. It is a great place to get information on buying and using a greenhouse.

I got mine through Backyard Greenhouses. I'm very happy with it. Actually, I found the KT after being on the greenhouse forum, doing research for my first g/h. That's how I ended up here.
