Ok, here's your Grant pics

He's really hard to photograph these days. He refuses to look at me when I have the camera so I get alot of shots of him doing things or smiling at things other than my camera. But they're still cute.

Here he is taking a little rest after his egg hunt.

And sharing his not-so-good treats with Dakota. He wasn't interested in the eggs that had goldfish or mini ritz/cheese bites...he wanted the yummy ones that had M&M's or peanut butter granola bites. He's so funny, he'd open an egg and when it had something good, he'd say "mmmmm" and if it wasnt so good, he'd throw it down.

Oh geez LOL! I had laparoscopy and the incisions are only about 1/4" and the one just under the belly button is like nickel size. All done up with surgical glue. Plus they told me to get up and walk around once in a while...just following orders LOL! rich_manure, Those are definitely Dianthus of some kind but not Sweet William (D. barbatus). I have an unidentified one too that I grew from seed taken from my neighbors pots a few years back. It's perennial, semi-evergreen and dwarf...has sold fushia colored flowers. I'd like to have some taller ones like yours...nice colors too :) Mine bloom in June and again fall when the temps cool down again. Here's a few pics.... June 19th...just starting bloom (they are covered now but you all grounded me LOL!) Last year on June 27th.... August 21st reblooming I only have to two plants but this year am planning to get lots of seeds. Maybe we could arrange a few swaps later in the year? Tiffy, Yes, that is just one plant and there is another one just caddy corner from this one that is just as big or bigger. This pic doesn't do them any justice as far as showing size. These were cut back pretty hard last year in April; lightly this April...I've been doing that too all my lavender since the 2nd year, plus as I harvest the wands (which will be soon) I cut back into the foliage but not hard and shape as I go. The wands aren't ready yet for harvesting; they will elongate and stiffen up more first. The I'll wait until a few buds actually fully open before I get at them. I'll get repeat blooms in late summer/fall...some I harvest more wands from and other's I let go to seed for the finches. Sometimes the pheasants and praire grouse come in to feed :)

Here's my BOP for this year. The tree is so large all I added is my deer. I think I have a smaller purple tree but it hasn't come out from hiding yet.LOL If it does, I may do some tweaking and repost. When I found this little purple dress ornament couldn't resist and thought it went well with my purple hat tree topper. I was hoping to bring the veil down on the hat but didn't want to cover up my little ornament under it. Here's a closeup of the feathers on the hat and the picture on the ornament. Photobucket is not wanting to resize so it's really a closeup.LOL Hope others will continue to fill up this fun post. I had never heard of decorating the bop before coming here. I love telling others about it for a laugh. And to think some think all we decorate is tables on Holidays.LOL They really should get out more often and check things out before being so vocal. Punk

Ree - I refrained from commenting on the other thread. I think anyone who is doing a lot of renovations gets blindsided at least once on the final cost, no matter how much experience we have working with contractors and the trades. We have had quite a bit of tile done lately & I have learned alot - My opinion - you did not over pay for his work! He did a spectacular job!! Watching my tile guy - a professional - much of the 1st day (after the cement board) is spent on the layout. It is brain work - alot of math and figuring out the exact placement of the grout lines & cuts. Your guy made sure you ended with full tiles at the top and bottoms, your corners are 1/2 matching tiles ( no little slivers), he had alot of small notches, and cuts - everything is lined up & level. He did a wonderful job! I think 4 days was good - and he didn't have a helper. He had to do all the measuring, dry fitting,marking each tile, and the cutting. Enjoy the backsplash, I think it is gorgeous, and I love the placement of the inserts. I would have paid that much, but I am in an area of the country where the costs are high. The price you paid will be a distant memory, while you will always look at that backsplash with admiration.

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions. I've just bookmarked all of the stores and will go through them tonight, once the kids are asleep, hopefully! deborah: I've been looking on craigslist, but haven't found any so far that will work. Maybe someday, I will have good CL luck! Here's the couch in my FR that I'd like to coordinate it with. I'm not sure that I'm moving in the right direction though. Any thoughts or direction? I can't take a pic of the family room today, as it's got lots of laundry folding going on at the moment. Light berber carpet, SW Madademia walls. Thanks again everyone!

grant is such a cutie steph. was he excited to see his easter basket in the morning? i took my nephew, TJ, his basket from us yesterday. he is 2 1/2, and he didn't really care much. just wanted to watch his "bee movie" that i got him. i got him sidewalk chalk too, but kinda hard to play with that with snow on the ground. lol.
do you do "the easter bunny"? if so, next year he will understand that and will be a lot more excited. i miss the santa and easter bunny days (and tooth fairy and cupid).

Oh, look at that sweet face. He's at such a cute age!

The twins got lots of practice and way too much Easter candies with 2 hunts at local parks, 1 at the church and finally the Easter bunny came to their house. They sure had lots of fun this year and our weather was beautiful!

Looks like Dakota hit paydirt....Yumm. One year I got the bright idea to put M&M's in some eggs and some mini marshmallows in others. Max would pick up the eggs and shake them...if they rattled he'd pop them open but the marshmallows? no sound! lolol I think the goldfish and mini ritz were a great idea...and Dakota thinks so too.

Thanks for sharing your sweetie with us. He's growing up sooooo fast.
