OMGosh, you ladies had me laughing when talking about silver trays "on the back of the potty" ideas! So, thought I would post my V-decor "back of the potty" pics! LOL!

Cast iron boy & girl ... new gift of handlotion & soy jar candle...note: "pink" candles...a first for me!

That shadow on my rose wall is from the SUNSHINE! Glorious!

I don't have a pic of the winter "back of the potty" decor...a small tree, a couple antique angels & a metal white pine tree birdhouse...will save that for next yr!

LOL Jeannie, even tho I suggested the silver tray on the back of the pottie and have used that idea, right now I only have a box of tissues on mine! Guess I still have some decorating to do.

You decor is very cute and I love your wall color!

The only thing I put in the ensuite for Valentine's is this wreath which I partially ripped apart and redid. It usually has a more spring look and usually lives in my cottagey guest room. Of course it was a YS find which DH spray painted white years ago. I think it needs more pink roses but those are all I had. I think I also need lessons in how to put pearls on but I didn't want to attach them firmly so just looped them.

GrandmaBarb, Just loved the pretty little birdhouse and the fantastic garden pointer. How clever you are!! Barb sent me a sign that she had made from an old piece of weathered board on which she had painted the prettiest yellow flowers on the left of the board. On the right of the board she had glued little tiny pointed pinecones in the shape of an arrow with blue jewels along the sides showing the way to the garden. On both the birdhouse and garden sign she had painted Ellens Joy. I am so happy that you were my Secret Santa as you nailed my personality to a tee. Jeanne...cute thread. Your 'BOP' is so darn cute..I think if I went in there, it would make me want to hang around - just to enjoy the scenery! I think all that's needed is some Christmas Music. I remember OA did that for her Halloween Party. I love your sweet little angel..and the fact that she was handed down from your DGM to Mom to you. Your little silver tree with the birdies is so adorable. You said you just got that tree...did you buy it new? My mother bought me one just like it when I was a teenager...and I just loved it...I haven't seen any like that since...Only ALL silver. I'd love to know if they are selling that style tree again. I enjoyed seeing OA & Punks BOB..and thought they were cute too. Nice to see you added them here...I think they'll enjoy that. jane

Whew. I thought you were talking only about me. The only photos I have posted of the kitchen are the ones that the photographer took when shooting the backsplash. And now, I have to find all of my photos (from my old blackberry and the old computer and get them uploaded, again, to Photobucket. The Kitchen Folder I had on PB disappeared. I guess I'm guilty of wanting it to be really done. How's this? I keep moving the punch list from place to place as we work on other projects. It was on the doors to the laundry room closet, then the back door and then I found it folded in 1/2 on the washer. Well, last night I grabbed it and taped it up to the inside of the closet in the laundry room (look closely at the photo below of the closet, you can see it). You have to understand...the laundry room ONLY has a Washer & Dryer in it....the walls have been painted, the doors are MIA, the floor has been ripped up....all in anticipation of getting that gorgeous floor that WE won. Want a sneak pic of how it's coming along? I've placed some tiles on the floor with a piece of trim, so here you go. And I promise to post finished kitchen pictures too, soon. I mean I guess you won't notice if the backdraft thingy is in the venting or not, right? (Oh and we've been working on the basement and I redecorated my 20 yo dd's room--been kinda crazy.) Anger Management For all of you who occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone--don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know! I was sitting at my desk, when I remembered a phone call I had forgotten to make. I found the number, and dialed it. A man answered saying, "Hello?" I politely said, "This is Frank Hanifin, could I please speak with Robin Carter?" Suddenly, the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude! I then tracked down Robin's correct number, and called her. (I had transposed the last two digits of her phone number.) After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled, "You're an ***hole!" and I hung up. Then I wrote his number down, with the word '***hole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an ***hole!" It always cheered me up. When Caller, ID came to our area, I thought my therapeutic '***hole' calling would have to stop. Decided to ring him up and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the Telephone Company. I'm just calling to see if you're familiar with the caller ID program?" He yelled, "NO!" and slammed the phone down. Then quickly I rang him back and said, "That's because you're an ***hole!" One day while getting ready to pull into a parking spot at the grocery store, some kid in a black BMW cut me off, and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I had been waiting for the spot. The idiot ignored me. I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his car window, naturally I jotted down his number. A couple of days later, right after calling the first ***hole (I had his number on speed dial), I thought I had better call the BMW ***hole, too. "Hello?" I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?" "Yes, it is." "Can you tell me where I can see it?" "Yes, I live at 1802 West 34th Street. It's a yellow house and the car's parked right out front." "What's your name?" I asked. "My name is Don Hansen," he said. "When's a good time to catch you, Don?" "I'm home every evening after five." LG, I like the 'looped' pearls and free-form look on the wreath. And what's this about only a box of tissues on yours? With no silver tray under it? For shame.
Jeanne, you nut. When I saw the subject line I cracked up.
I'll take a photo of mine tomorrow, LOL. You do realize if a new person happens upon our Forum now, they are going to wonder if we are possessed for sure! Nothing is safe from our little decorating fingers. LOL.

Ahhhhh,you know me too well, purplemoon! A nut case (for sure!) You gals just cracked me up when talking about the silver tray for the back of the potty! LOL! I always decorate the "BOTP" ... so I thought this post could bring a good chuckle!!

LG...I do love your wreath...looks great with the "loopy" pearls & roses...I am on the outlook for a good buy on the heart wreath...and I like yours painted white...also loved lynn's(?) when she posted.

Jeanne, I originally read the post as "Back of the Pottery", and I kept waiting to see the backend of the your little girl and boy kissing. LOL!

Mine is uneventful... a handwoven basket that holds colorful potpourri and a container of baby powder. :)

LG, your wreath is very pretty. Don't know what it looked like before but it's elegant looking now.

Sounds like I have been missing out on the fun here. So glad your all having fun. I'm enjoying my company too.

Well, here's how the little tray turned out. I remember I also had a Delft style rabbit hinged box so added that. The dog and candle have long been there, except during holidays. I don't know what's going on with me and my flash but we are NOT friends last few times. Weird glare now on the wall. Not to mention the blue color is a LOT prettier, and not as light as shows. So ignore my mistakes and focus on my tray please.

Jeanne, maybe you should have put BOTP in the subject, LOL.
Then everyone would have rushed to see what the heck was going on. Or shorten to BOP. ;o)

Can't help but join in on this fun post with all of you! Hey, we create and share vignettes, and this is just another place for a vignette, right?

Jeanne, I love the kids on your's. They look so sweet. LG, your wreath is great. Just the right amount of things to make it pretty and I too love the draped beads on it. Karen, the silver tray sure makes your blue/white dog and bunny show up great. I really like the look of that.

Here's mine, just a ceramic bathtub of rose scented products.

Luvs, your bathroom is sooo pretty! And I love the way your decorated your BOP, nothing simple about that. Its a fancy and "resort spa" look to your ceramic tub.

Thanks for sweet comments, Gang. I know I'm over-run with my dog and rabbit stuff, but that's just the view into my Life in the Doghouse. (if I blogged, LOL, that would be my name). I can't believe I never put the Delft bunny and greyhound together before. LOL. I like them together!

Wow, I never decorate the back of my toitys for holidays! I do keep decs on them, but have nver thought to change them for a holiday :~O
