Friend and I took Jim 'n Nicks bbq with trimmings to friend who is recuperating from surgery. Enjoyed lunching and chatting.

Not sure. Probably just a salad. Maybe chef's salad. Lots of different lettuces , some ham and cheese. The refrigerator is getting cleaned out. Today I made everything from soup to nuts. Starting with butternut squash soup, apple sauce, oatmeal dinner rolls and spiced pecans. I'm having a dinner party Friday night and by Friday, I'll just have to make a couple of appetizers. Everything is under control and the freezer is getting mighty full.

We had ham, mashed potatoes and homemade cole slaw. Things we had around, too, that needed to be eaten.

I had tilapia, a baked potato, and mixed vegetables.

I bought a ham, then we were invited to DD's. So tonight I cooked the ham, made home made scalloped potatoes, and warmed up leftover butternut squash. DH had home made horseradish to go with his. Mmmm good!

Leftovers again;) Tonight is the last night for them~~~all will be tossed tomorrow, except for the ham, DH will finish it over next week;) The tree has been taken down and not a sign of Christmas is left~~we usually wait til after New Years to clear it out. But DH is having shoulder surgery the 3rd so we did it early to get it out of the way:)

We had "Clean Out The Fridge". Baked chicken, potato salad, pickled beets and lima beans. Not bad, but I don't want to see it again after tonight.

Looks like we all were in need of geting rid of the leftovers.

Glenda, I'm sure it lifted your friend's spirits to have lunch with the ladies with good conversation.

Shirley and Mamatoad have me wanting tilapia and beets.

Tami, ham and scalloped potatoes just seem to go together. Sure sounds good. How much snow do you have? It looked like Ohio was going to get a LOT!

YogaLady, hoping your DH has a successful surgery. Sure not something one wants to look forward to in the new year...or maybe it is.

I think I'll have left over hot and sour soup from Friday night and maybe some crackers and cheese later while I watch the Redskin's game. Satine

We had leftover chili mac. Does anyone else eat their chili over spaghetti noodles? When I first met DH his family always ate it that way. I'd never heard of it and thought they were nuts, but now that I tried it, I like it!

We cut up a fresh pineapple for dessert. It was SOOO good, just melts in your mouth!

Patti, we have about 6-10" where I am, more east of me. You are right scalloped potatoes go great together, tho I don't make the potatoes often.

Firehouse subs, when we are in the area we like to pick up the steamer subs, so good. We were right next door to it at Target.

Finally got around to the big pot of chicken-vegetable soup I made several days ago. (People kept sharing with me!) I made hot cornbread to go with it, and ate peanut butter cookies, too. Such a feast for a cold cold night!

I made beef vegetable stew with cornbread muffins today; also made a pumpkin pie cause I had a frozen crust I wanted to use. That's the extent of my cooking...maybe I'll try it again next year. :)

We had whole-grain tube pasta with a sauce that included sauteed onions and mushrooms, tomatoes and tomato sauce to which I added chunks of fresh salmon for the last five minutes of cooking time.

Side dish, broccoli, Dessert, store-bought pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
