Amazing Discovery!!! Would you believe????

How many things get hidden in a closet? Cleaning out a section in a walk in closet, I found a set of earrings that should go to my GD, single coffee pot for DD, last years Christmas cards, card stock for the computer, notebook paper. I am always rearranging this room, so I never know what I will find where.

Anyone else do this. and oh yes that old lady who starts everything and gets nothing done is now at my house. Who wants her next??

Please don't send her here--I'm having enough trouble getting things done. I'm glad you found things in your walk-in closet...did you, by any chance, find my jewelry box? It lives on the top shelf of my walk-in closet, but it apparently got up and walked away recently. It has to be in there somewhere, but I guess I'm going to have to clean out the closet in order to find it.

Maybe my New Year's resolution will...again...be to get rid of some of my stuff.

calamity, I have never mosaiced anything (just common grouting). When I see you mosaic artists I am MORE THAN IMPRESSED!!!! I just hope someday I will get enough courage to learn that art form. That fountain could be a true work of art if I just had 1 teaspoon of your talent! I believe the time must come when I try doing a step stone. I recently got all of the left overs from a lady who made step stones. Mold, concrete dyes in multiple colors, concrete conditioner, colored grouts etc. etc. No tiles though. (FREECYCLE!!!!) So I have been collecting slowly to begin such an endeavor. But instead of creating art KIRK has me writing Country Songs on the Conversation Side!!!! Ha Ha Ya got'a love this Forum. Hey, us zone 4 Iowa folk had a warm spell this week - it got up to 25 degrees with clouds and freezing fog during the day and stayed above 10 degrees with clouds and fog at nite!!!! Yippee Somehow I think everyone in zones 5 and above need to close their eyes and get a visual of a skinny path cut out of 4 foot of "flat" snow (sprinkled with a few 5 foot drifts just for fun--who said Iowa was flat!); carefully carrying milk jugs out the back door and around the house and garage to place them snuggly on snow trampled down to a measily 1 foot height; quickly following the skinny path back to the house so the wind doesn't blow the path shut..... HUM, remind me again about warm spells and seeing green!!!!! LOL

Using coconut oil- discovery of my life

I started using coconut oil not too long ago on my hair, and putting it into my coffee in the morning. yes, it floats on the top of the coffee, but surprisingly, it doesn't leave a greasy taste in your mouth when you drink it. My hair has never been so soft! I don't even use conditioner anymore. I just put a dab on my hands (not much, you may have to experiment) and rub it on and let it sit for a few minutes to soak in, then comb it through really well. Even blow drying my hair doesn't make it frizzy with the coconut oil on. Once a week, I put it on and let my hair dry naturally, so it can soak it all up. It makes your skin so smooth! I tried using it on my face, but I have adult acne, and it broke it out. But I did add a couple of drops to my moisturizer at night, and it didn't break me out that way. Anyway, my skin is much smoother, on my face and everywhere else I use it.

That old woman was here wearing some jewelry. I told her to return it to you and tell you where she put the box. Then I realized it was my lost jewelry she had on.

She said she was only here until Chrisrmas to help me with the holidays. She has not done a thing except stay on the computer and watch TV.

I started cleaning out a closet today, but the weather was sunny and 80 degrees so I tried to do some yard chores. And there was the old woman sitting in the swing daydreaming.

The old woman at my house realizes she's forgotten AGAIN where she hid the lovely Christmas card she bought for her husband (probably three years ago). It turns up now and then, usually in July. Now she can't remember where she put it. Dingbat!

She says she was too busy ordering Singamajigs for the kids. Yeah, right, put them on MY credit card too.

Well, she didn't get here until after I got all my cookie dough made and in the freezer. I was feeling sooo smug thinking I was going to beat her this year, but NO! Her she comes, wreaking havoc on the house and getting me so distracted I can hardly think. And this I swear, if she puts one more thing in that clothes hamper, she's evicted.

She comes every year the week before Christmas. If she wants to come around here, she'd better bring her vacuum!
