I think its in a push up stick. I'm pretty sure it was in Walgreens, ask for it. Its for badly cracked heels.

My heels crack badly during the winter. I keep lotion on them with a sock.

Just to see if anyone else noticed this. The first thing that comes off when I get home are my shoes. Several years ago I replaced most of the carpet in the house with ceramic tile. No problem until I retired a year ago and was going barefoot almost all the time. My heels started cracking and the skin on my big toes thickened. I got one of those doodads to file the dead skin off and decided to soak my feet afterwards in various lotions and potions and put on socks and shoes. Now if I go barefoot for any length of time the cracked and thickened skin comes back. As long as I keep something on my feet they're fine. Could the grout in the tile be sucking the moisture out my skin?

my heels crack a little, but my fingers crack and bleed frm the nails around my finger prints.. get a little puffy and hurt!

don't think you would have contact long enough with the grout. maybe just being dry all the time...

My feet are very dry but they don't crack. I have used that Ped Egg to sand off the dry skin and it really helps.

Recently I tried rubbing my feet with Aloe Vera Gelly and that is wonderful on my feet. It doesn't make my feet as sweaty as lotions.

I hope that new thing works great for you. It's a tough life when you can't stand well.

I use CREAM i GOT AT wm it is called Heelrescue superior moisturizing cream.It comes with a pump ,it works so good I have crack feet so bad they would bleed.In just a few day they where so much better .I love it.

Sounds interesting. I get terribly cracked heels. This year, though, I started being religious about using a pumice stone in the shower every day, and it seems to be working. We'll see what happens in the dead of winter.:)

My daughter & I have our own method ,thank you...lol we use sand paper works great then we slather our feet with vaseline....

Never had a problem with calloused or cracked heels, I wear shoes all the time and take care of my feet by getting a spa pedicure every other week.

Kat...before Kalie's wedding, I was reading all the different "Bridal tips" emails that I would get. One said to use chap stick along the cuticles...that worked wonderful!! So, when our fingers started to get the corner cracks this winter, I thought...lets try the chapstick! It works really well!!! I have a stick by my bed, and put some on before I go to sleep...also have one here by the puter that I use each time I sit down here. There is a white Burts Bees Lifeguards Choice...bought by mistake...is great for the cracks! Has a bit of menthal to it.

I buy the heavy HEAVY duty files from Sallys for my heals. Work great. Dean has a fit when I sit and do it tho! LOL

Thank you Sandy. DS has A and D ointment that he had to put on his tatoos.. I tried that... I was going to try the heeltastic on my fingers! LOL I try the chapstick. think that is the only thing I haven't tried!

From time to time I put on a good dose of vaseline on my feet and put on the heavy socks. Works great.

Susie vaseline is what my Pedicurist says to use with heavy socks.

I bought some Socks with Aloe and love them. I get a Pedicure every other week.

I can get really bad foot odor, but Dr. Oz said to soak your feet in tea and that would cure the problem. It does dye your feet brown though. LOL!

Gold Bond just came out with some foot cream. Saw it at Target

I finally broke down and went to the dermatologist (BTW he won the powerball this summer-huge win). He said never use a pumice-it irritates the skin into making more thick skin. I now use a generic $5 Urea cream (RX), then cover my feet with vaseline. At the beginning I also used another cream that softened my heels, but I don't need it anymore. For the first time that I can remember, I am not embarrassed of my feet.

I swear by Curel's foot cream. Your heels, will feel better, within a couple of uses.

Use a Stridex pad on your feet before you go to bed and then slather then with Vaseline and wear socks.(advice from a skin specialist) The Dr. Scholl's with aloe are wonderful! They are so soft and don't make my toes hurt where I have neuropathy or arthritis. I try to wear them all the time if I'm barefoot at home to stop the drying and cracking. No one wears shoes in the house in Hawaii.

I have used the Stridex pad and the Vaseline as suggested by Dorothy Oahu and it works!

Stridex pads are sold for treatment of acne, they are cleanser and treatment without the drying effect. I would assume that they clean the area and remove any bacteria and oil so the moisturizer can penetrate more effectively.

I use my homemade bees wax salve, It works great.
It's also good for burns.

I read somewhere that cracked heels are actually a form of athelete's foot and will respond to the same treatment.

Years ago, I noticed my 12YO GS had really, really stinky feet. One day he was barefoot in his room stinking up the whole room and the hall. I had a can of Tinactin fungal and deodorant spray, so I went in there and sprayed down the bottoms of his feet and between his toes really good. Then I sprayed the inside of his shoes and washed all his sox in detergent and bleach. The stink went away. Just last year, his mother was complaining about how bad her feet had started to stink, so I used the same stuff on her. That went away, too, after only one application.

So get some Tinactin at WMT or wherever and give your heels a good spray after your bath, and then put on some clean sox. See if it helps any.

I have noticed that when I go barefoot, my heels crack. I just think they dry out. My mother used to have those cracks around her fingernails. They would go deep and bleed. She went to a dermatologist and was told to use Eucerin. But it didn't help that much. I had that a little bit after I did some drywall finishing one time when we were remodeling. My mother used to do a lot of gardening and I think they added lime to their garden. So I think that dries you out. Dr. Oz says soak your fingers in vinegar and water. The vinegar is astringent and also softens your skin. You could soak your feet in that, too, and it wouldn't darken your skin like tea does. Or you could use green tea instead of brown.

But try the Tinactin. I know it works on stinky feet.

For me it's a summer thing - barefeet in sandles. Like Jackie643 I use wax. I use a soybean candle, which is very soft, like a cream. Does the trick for me.

my sister gave me some Burts Bees coconut Foot Creme and it is absolutely wonderful. She doesnt have the problem like I do so she said I could have it. She regifted it to me. I think the reason she doesnt have the problem like I do is because she always has her shoes on, and the minute I come in the house I take mine off.

Pumice works for me, very well. My heels were thick, cracked and awful until I started using it every night. I have always moisturized, but I just needed to basically start doing a really deep exfoliation routine.

I have had really bad cracked heels this winter. I read somewhere that if you go barefoot or wear heeless shoes that can cause it. I do both when I am in the house so I am going to try and wear shoes all the time and see if that helps. Also have a medicated cream called Crack Cream.It's kind of stinky but I think it is helping.

This is what I use...I trim the balls and heels of my feet about twice a year...and then lather on Lanolin Cream and sleep in cotton socks...I'm on my feet so much for work that I probably will have to deal with cracked heels for the rest of my life...My feet are softer in the summer from being in the pool but in the winter they crack and hurt like the dickens...

I use my Black & Decker palm sander on mine when they get real bad in the summer - for real! They come out soft and smooth as a baby's bottom.

Okay,I know this sounds strange, but it does work, I had the problem with cracked heels and discolored nails because of fungus, sometimes this tough dry skin on the heels is also a fungus.
Every night,I use stydex pads(like what you use on the face for acne)on my feet, around the toenail, and over heels, then generously apply vics vapor rub, both on heels and toes.Then put on cotton socks, and I do this in the morning after my shower.
I have been doing this faithfully for about 2 months now, and my heels are baby soft, and my once discoloed toenail are now pink and healthy.
I would not have belived it... but it works..now can't wait for summer to show off my lovely piggys
