Send me some energy...

So rather than doing a card shower like we do for some people around here, can we do an energy shower? I need some. I wont be greedy, I'll take just a little bit! LOL

I feel like I felt when I was first pregnant....the littlest task is so difficult because I feel completely zapped of all my energy. If I remember correctly, I had the same thing happen when I was pregnant with Grant. I feel like I could just sleep the next 3.5 weeks away...

So let me know if you have any energy to spare and maybe you can paypal it over to me? LOL I promise in 18 years when my kids are grown up and move on, I'll send it back.

Just rest as much as you can Steph....Are you going to have some help when you get home? You have to just take it easy whenever you can find a minute ...I understand the lack of energy though...it's rough...buttttttttttttttttttttttt

soon you will have that little precious angel to cuddle in your arms...How wonderful is that.....

Zorba, there is a "pineapple chamomile" which is indeed considered a weed. The plant (Matricaria maritima) is often mistaken for chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and is in fact, closely related. Chamomile, the herb, is quite rare east of the Rocky mountains where pineapple weed is quite common. Pineapple chamomile is native to North America and it also makes a tasty tea. Some prefer it to the common chamomile. "Distribution & Habitat: Pineapple weed is found in almost all waste areas. It can be seen growing in cracks in the sidewalk in the centre of most towns and along many a backwood s dirt road." I have German chamomile that volunteers in my garden. I pull it when it grows where I don't want it but I wouldn't call it invasive. Greenhrs, German chamomile is native to Europe. I'm so glad you posted a thread so I knew you still wanted them. It's that crazy season you know--winter sowing, when everyone goes a little whacko between the frozen potting mix, spilled seeds, spilled potting mix, duct tape that won't stick (WHY not?), and the ever-popular zone wars! I wonder what I could possibly have done to entertain myself last January that was even half this much fun?

Thanks for the good thoughts-- I so appreciate your words. So, the plot thickens. My DS(5)was complaining that his hip/leg hurt last night. He mentioned it in the middle of the night when he wet the bed and we were getting things cleaned up. I didn't think much of it and just thought he wanted to be held/carried. By this morning he couldn't stand on it and was crying that it hurt. At first I thought it was more of not wanting to go to school. Now I think he just couldn't get up out of bed to get to the bathroom in the night, and he really was hurting. We ended up taking him to InstaCare and going through exam, blood work, xrays. Turns out he has "transient synovitis" of his hip. They are not sure of the cause, but you just treat it with ibuprofen and rest and he should be ok in 3-4 days. Poor kid! So I made it just in time for my big meeting, and DH took DS home. (DH isn't leaving for his trip till tomorrow now). My marriage is just a whole other ball of wax. We have had a tough time since our son was born. We went to counseling and it helped for a while. At this point we just kind of coexist like roommates and we just work together to keep the household running. Our relationship just sucks and I am so angry and frustrated with him so much of the time. My meeting was just...unbelievable. I cannot believe the leadership of the agency I work for. It is a state position. The past year has included an extremely poorly handled HR investigation, interviews with the attorney general's office, dear friends being suspended pending termination, then being reinstated due since there was no merit to the charges. They were "reassigned" and I now supervise them, although they have supervised/mentored me for years. It has been a complete travesty. There is endless drama and politics and maneuvering. I am just so burned out and disillusioned. However, I have so much invested in my career at this point, I just cannot bear to give in to all this crap and leave. This is one of those times of life where every area of my life seems difficult and depressing. I just keep thinking, stay strong and keep going, but I am WORN OUT. I'm trying to rest as much as possible. My mom has been a really big help. Right now, my husband is out of town. He's at the lake house this weekend with his dad rebuilding the deck/dock. They're trying to get it finished before we head up there for New Years next week.

After baby comes, I'll have help. Brent will be home when needed, or he'll take Grant with him to work so I can rest when Camryn sleeps (which newborns do alot of), and my mom will of course be here. She's a LIFESAVER!

Grant just went down for a nap so I'm going to go eat something real quick and then go to bed myself for a short nap.

What I send you won't last long, I have lotsa sugary energy from snacking on Nanimo Bars DD bought and cut out cookies and Olive spread and crackers.
Take your nappy, and by the time you wake up you will feel the waves of energy heading out to you from ND!

Rest all you can, now. Take a nap or just lie down any time you feel tired. I remember the feeling, the late weeks of pregnancy. Eat small meals/snacks like cheese and crackers, peanut butter on graham crackers. And lots of fluids. I am sending you some energy. Whoomp!

Just think...it's almost over for you! You won't have any energy for a few years...so rest up now! Is she due the 22nd??

I wish I had some extra energy to spare for ya kiddo. I wish I lived closer so I could help you and your Mom with Grant.

Vikki, my actual due date is the 27th but my c-section is on the 22nd. So unless she decides to come early, she'll for sure be here on the 22nd....less than 4 weeks. Whew!

Did you ask Grand for some?
When I was at that point, I would see my other child(ren) running around and just wish I could bottle their energy, or borrow it, or copy it... something! It's not fair that they have so much while Mom's is going, going, gone. ;o)

stephanie, I keep saying I wish I had the energy that my son has in his pinkie finger!! LOL

redcurls, I have been SOOOO bad this pregnancy about taking pics. Poor 2nd child gets not even half the stuff/memorabilia that the 1st gets. I have taken I think 2 pics this whole pregnancy. I will take one tomorrow (let's hope I remember!).
