Mix it into vanilla ice cream. One of the gals at our dinner table for the two week cruise to Alaska we took earlier this year put a special request to the head chef for Nutella ice cream the first night on board.

The kitchen had no Nutella on the ship so they had to send someone out shopping when we hit Seattle. She ate it every night and even shared some with us. :-) It was pretty good.

I have a jar of the stuff too.... and really don't care much for it.. but it does taste good baked into slum gullion cookies...

I dip pretzels in it for a treat sometimes before bed.

I have seen Nutella crepes among the food booths at arts festival and at the Original House of Pancakes (not iHOP).

I think there was a posting here recently that mentioned several people's "guilty Nutella pleasures"--you might try searching for "Nutella"!

These might work if you like peanut butter.

NUTELLA NUTTERS (St. Pete Times)

1 c. Nutella
1 c. peanut butter (creamy or crunch)
2 heaping Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly (about 2 minutes with a hand mixer). Use a melon baller to scoop out dough in balls or drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes (do not overbake). Cool slightly then transfer to a wire rack.
When completely cool, store in a sealed container. The dough can be prepared a few days ahead and stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Makes 6 dozen. Can freeze if cooled completely first.

I don't much like the taste of it, but friends tell me it is great on graham crackers.

Oh it's yummy. Very fattening, though, so go easy. Let's see... peanut butter and nutella sandwiches, nutella on bananas or apples, bagels and nutella and also with cream cheese. Some of the children bring it to school for lunch as nutella and marshmallow fluff. Personally, this one is so incredibly NOT healthy but it's not me packing their lunches!

Jennmonkey- mini Nilla Wafers are actually one of the ingredients in my 3-ingredient craft food..... so I have actually tasted that and it was pretty good. Reminded of some kind of cookie that I've had before. Like a chocolate sandwich cookie tastes like, sort of.

LOVE those things but they are so expensive now.I found some online but can't afford them since they would probably be gone before the day was over.LOL DD and I were talking about those just the other day.She and her X use to have a little curio shop and they sold them there but he quit buying the because they had gotten too expensive.I guarantee if you ever eat one,from that time on just one will never be enough.LOL
Nutella.....I have a jar too that has about a tablespoon gone out of it.A while back someone here was talking about it and I found it at Wal-Mart with a 75 cent off coupon and bought it.I wasn't impressed although I love hazelnuts and chocolate.Too sweet for me.I've been trying to figure out how I could use it in something.

Just saw a recipe on the Fine Cooking website for Nutella Fudge Brownies. It only has 4 ingredients in it and got very good reviews.

With a spoon LOL There is a FB group for Nutella with some recipes. I love spread Nutella on a warm cranberry or apple breakfast pita, sinfully delicious.

Bananas and Nutella are really good too.

I made those Nutella Fudge Brownies today. They were very good ...and they're gone. They will definitely get made again - they hit the spot and they took less than 15 minutes to make. It took longer to heat the oven than to bake them. If you make them, I strongly recommend removing them from the oven at 11 minutes - gooey in the center.

Put it in the fridge, it gets more solid. Then use a spoon to gouge out a nice piece, and eat it straight!

Basically, it's the "praline" (pronounced Prah-leen-ay) filling that you find in other chocolates or fancy cookies. If you have some spare ice cream cones around (not the sugar cones), break them into pieces and dip them in the nutella.

Well, Woody had some last night on his ice cream. Said it was too sweet for him so I asked my mum if she wanted it and she said SURE! So I'll give it to her. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions, though. It's just too sweet for me, which is so not like me, but there's something about it I just don't like.

Auntie Jodi- Gravey is fine and dandy but a little too lunchy! We laugh at her jiggly belly all the time, she's so fat. She could give Santa a run for his money in that department! But she's adorable and fun and sweet and she and Nosey Parker just love each other. They are running this scam together- If Daddy goes downstairs, they race him to his gun room and force him to play with them. If I go upstairs, they haul butt up there and make me shoot covered elastics down the long hall for them. We play Cat Quidditch. Gravey is the goalie, she likes to stop them, and Parker is a Seeker- she loves to chase them down. Sounds like a herd of wild buffalos to anyone on the 2nd floor, especially when there's a collision. :)

I love it on club crackers, love chocolate and salty together. OR right off the knife!

Thanks for the update on Gravey. Why do you not have pics of her on your Facebook page? Like a good auntie, I went to see how big she'd grown and ... found ... nothing. I need photos! Want to see what side of the family she favors. ;-)

Hmmm never thought of putting it in the fridge. I only buy it once in a while because my kids will only eat what they can put it on when it's here. Usually for them it's bread, bagles, or toaster waffles. I like it on bananas or pretzles too.

Why not use melted milk chocolate as your glue?

So, I am like Flamey, and have this big jar of Nutella. Been sitting here for as long as I am living in this house... and hasn't been opened. Been having jam on my peanut butter sandwiches instead. LOL, mostly, cause I know, once the jar is open it ain't safe from a spooning.

But, Flamey's post made me open it. Had a yummy peanut butter and Nutella sandwich for lunch. :)

Someone better come and hide the spoons!
