In and not going anywhere. Was supposed to meet my DS at Bass Pro after dark to pick up GS Christmas boat, but told him LATER IN THE WEEK.

I'm fixing to get in the kitchen and put together apple sausage dressing for Christmas potluck luncheon tomorrow.

Staying in, it's been raining, expecting maybe 6 inches of snow. Putting up the Christmas tree today, no big meal to speak of. Had a good omelet for lunch.

We're just hanging inside, vegging out. They're calling for freezing rain later, and the snow all day has been a mixture of snow and rain.

Have a honey-wheat loaf in the bread-maker, rising and a new recipe for pork in my slow-cooker. If the recipe is a keeper, I'll post it on tomorrow's thread.

Laundry outside on the line. They don't dry in the winter, but when I bring them in and put them on the clothes rack to dry do they ever smell good! Besides, Roxie loves laying underneath them, in the cold... silly cat.

You and me, jasdip. I have sheets out on my back deck airing. They won't dry, but they smell so good.

HMMMM I think it is 80 here in SoCal ;) We are getting ready for a pot luck at our house,older DD has some old HS friends meeting here and our other two kids and a pal of mine to eat then go down to the Mission Inn to see the Festival of The Lights. Riverside is famous for these lites:) About 16 of us~~~I have not had people over is ages WOW the cleaning the food even tho it is pot luck I have gone crazy!! Yup no cooking going on here later in the week leftovers~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I finished up the little painting I made for my sister-in-law in California. Bought a 5" X 7" stretched canvas and also a small wooden easel to go with it for display. Hope she likes it, I borrowed a photo from one her trips to Glacier Park in Montana and painted a picture off of it. It's wrapped in Christmas paper, and now I have to find a shipping box for it to go out in tomorrow's mail.

A wet snow is coming down here, the salt trucks have been up and down the road all day as the temp keeps going down. Haven't thought of supper, been eating homemade chicken pot pie for two days. The finale of The Amazing Race is on tonight!

I have a big pot of soup cooking on the stove, making the house smell really good. Putting the decorations and lights on the tree. Beautiful sunny day here but a bit breezy with a little chill in the air, temp is around 55.
Will be doing the kitchen clean up a little later.
Might get out the wrapping paper and wrap the 2 gifts that need wrapping, I could not find gift bags big enough so have to wrap unfortunately.

My daughter came and picked up the grandaughters. I am now trying to get things picked up before hubby comes home. I am going to sit down afterwhile and make some bags for the grandkids pillow pets I got them for Christmas.. I picked up some really cute fleece at Joanns on Firday..

It is getting colder as the day goes on and more snow, too. I will be staying in...

I've been up to my elbows in cookie dough--or it seems that way. I thought I'd get all my doughs done and put in the freezer but I only have two done and two more to do later. I had to sit for a while. I have the peanut butter cookie dough and the cherry chocolate chip dough (your recipe, Sue) in the freezer. Still have to do Snickerdoodles and Mexican wedding cakes. Tomorrow I want to make caramels and pralines. I'm not getting as much done as I'd hoped. It was cold and rainy this morning but the sun's out now. It's supposed to get really cold overnight.

We still don't have the tree up. I figure if it's up by the 15th maybe I won't get so tired of it and leave it up until New Years' day. I'm usually ready to take it down the day after Christmas.

I did a little sewing, read the Sunday paper, and wrote the January newsletter for my quilt guild. I'm president and it should go out by the end of the year. I also folded some laundry. Now I'm going to watch the Patriots beat the Bears.
I think I have some left over chicken thighs to have for supper with a little salad.

The day is winding down 5:27 PM here. I visited a neighbor who is in the Hosp. then got some groceries, planning on doing some baking tomorrow. I have boneless porkchops roasting on a bed of cut up potatoes, carrots and parsnips. Should be ready about 6:oo. It was cold when I went out today, but the son was shining and there wasn;t any wind, so it really wasn't too bad.

DH and I went off Island and had a picnic near the river that is going to flood tonight. Then we went to the Christmas Barn to see the decorated trees. We came home the back roads so I could take a few photos of the trumpeter swans wintering over. Other than that, we aren't doing much : )

I had company since Thursday, my sister & her hubby. They left this morning so I did laundry and tidied up the house. Then my nephew dropped by to pick up his Christmas gifts from me, my sister & ones that his mother (my other sister) sent in. He's a paramedic and will be working over Christmas.

Then at 5:00 we went to Joe's sister's house for her birthday. All the family was there, we had pizza and cake & played a couple of games. Now I'm home, just put on my pjs and waiting for Amazing Race to start.

I spent the morning clearing up after last night's dinner party. It was 80 degrees today, so I was moving slowly. (My slow speed had nothing to do with last night's beverage...LOL!)

I spent this afternoon watching the two Sarah Richardson holiday specials that I recorded yesterday.
