I am a creature of comfort - how about you?

Around 4PM yesterday the power went out. No heat, lights, nothing to do. At 6PM took DS, Elvira (dog) and we went out to Carl's Jr. for dinner. Elvira stayed in the car while we went inside. I had called the power company before I left and they said on the recording that a car had hit a power pole. It was suppose to be restored around 7PM. I called when I got back. The new recording said it would be fixed by midnight, so I was going to go to bed around 9:30 when it suddenly came on. I was frozen solid even with us all huddled under a blanket. It was 36° outside and 58° inside. I didn't make a fire in the fireplace because I didn't want to leave it unattended when we went to bed. I can't imagine how people use to live this way a hundred years ago. I guess I am firmly a creature of comfort. I like my heat, lights and TV or computer. And so does DS and Elvira (the heat part). I was still so cold when I went to bed at 10:30, I took Elvira with me. She is a nice little heater.
