being on teh computer is amazing.i can be in the worst mood and visit, it's gone!

I walk around outside and take pictures of animals, the stream, the mountain, trees, whatever catches my eye. Then I look at the pictures on my computer. For some reason, I find that very relaxing.

All of the above help me but the computer and that is only because of forums. Don't take offense, I just don't do well in them as you probably know already. I do enjoy the games and learning how to do new things on it. this week I learned how to get rid of the bright white screen on the monitor, it is now a soft rosy color and much easier on the eyes. I don't ride a bike anymore because since my husband passed I don't have anyone to call to pick me up if I have a flat. I wouldn't want to push the thing several miles to get home. LOL

I work in my greenhouse or with the plants in my yard, to relax. I also paint and do other crafts, PLUS play on the computer and do activities with my grandsons or walk my dogs. I love to visit thrift stores, too!

Surf the net and read mindless stuff and/or research things of interest to me. If the weather is nice outside I walk or otherwise enjoy the outdoors.

Indoors, I love to cook or bake..or sit before the fire and read.. or go to the sunroom and study my Bible..
Ourdoors, I love playing in the dirt with my gardens... (which are much smaller these days than they used to be) And I love to walk along these beautiful country roads with my two pretty pooches... it is then that I get so much out of my conversations with my Lord... always gives me such a sense of well being and peace...

I come to KT, stained glass. and garden junk forums.

I go through old garden and decorating magazines that I could not throw away because they were so good the first time around.

Sometimes I bake something, especially breads. The aroma makes it feel so homey and restful.

I love to read, my favorite thing is to read magazines and watch tv at the same time. I do yoga that really relaxes me I also listen to alot of new age music and that is very relaxing.

My favorite way to relax is to babysit my friends' little 2 month old. Nothing more relaxing than rocking a baby. I will be so relieved when their adoption is final and we know for sure he has a "forever" home with them.

Yes Linda rocking a baby is so relaxing~~I almost cried when my DGD (2) did not want to be rocked at nap and bed time! I just soaked up her sweet baby smell~~~~~~~

If the weather is nice, I love to work outside in the yard. Pulling weeds, planting things, trimming plants, transplanting things.
If the weather is not so nice, I like to be on the computer or in the kitchen cooking.....I read at bedtime to help me get to sleep and if I read during the day, I end up taking a nap.
And I don't like to nap during the day unless I am sick.

knit, garden, playing with the grands, the trick on relaxing with the grands is to call mommie and daddy to come pick them up, so i can relax

Check out a bike maintenance course. Learn how to fix a flat. I isn't that hard... I do my own all the time.

You can ride, anytime, any place if you know how to take care of your bike. :)

Knit, crochet, watch tv or read.

I relax by playing online. I used to read good true crime books while curled up at the end of the couch with a nice warm afghan and cup of tea. But ever since the internet, I haven't read much.

I do have a good book or two to read: The Ice Man and the one by Theoren Fluery.

I suffer from migraines...and I knit. For some reason when I knit (and even knit socks..little needles, complex patterns) it takes my mind off the pain. You'll often find me knitting like there's more tomorrow if the migraine is really bad, like I'm trying to knit the migraine away. WHen I stop, the migraine will come back. It's odd.

LOL I cook or bake. I also like to do crossword puzzles, cross stitching, reading. In the summer I like to sit on the front porch. Sometimes I just sit on the couch and watch my animals play because they amuse me and make me laugh. I also find doing laundry relaxing. I even find grocery shopping relaxing. I love to walk around the grocery store and look at all the things I would never buy or use. Nobody likes to grocery shop with me. LOL I like to go for long walks when I am able to.

Gardening weather permitting.I like to at least walk thru them every day to see if there is anything new ,or weeds to be pulled.I also sew,craft,quilt cross stitch,do word search,jig zone puzzles,and of course come here to see what you all are doing.

I find my big old kitty cat and take him up to my room where we cuddle and watch some tv or read a magazine.

If I'm really beat, sad, or stressed, I just slump in front of the TV in my pjs under an old afghan with some decadent snack. The more "mindless," the more relaxing. Then I go to bed early. And like danihoney, I snuggle with my two cats. One usually drapes around my neck and one sits on my lap. Both purr up a storm. It is so relaxing!
