Not sticky-backed at all. In fact it looks almost like packing foam, but thicker and stiffer. I like that it cushions the drawers and pull-outs where I used it. It muffles some of the noise when I put my pots and pans and glass bakeware away, and cuts down on the rattling when I open/shut those same drawers/pull-outs. It keeps my electric fry pan, my stand mixer, my food processor and its assorted parts from sliding around when I open or close their pull-outs and my cutting boards from doing the same in their drawer (not to mention protecting the wood from the mineral oil I use on my wood carving and cutting boards). I also ended up putting some pieces of CC on the bottom of my tray cab. I don't know if sliding my baking sheets and cooling racks in and out would have scraped up the cab floor or not, but my pizza stone stored in that cab surely would have, so I put pieces of CC on the cab floor on both sides of the divider. Is it a must have? That's up to you. Oh, and they do pretty much stay in place.

You could actually do a couple different things. You could have one rod and use hangers. You would have to fold them a bit to fit on the hanger and not drag on the floor, but that's usually how they come from the cleaners. For heavy cloths, use two hangers together for added strength. You could also hang multiple rods at slightly different heights and depths. If you have a walk in closet this works great, but will still work with a reach in. Hang the highest rod the farthest back, then one a bit lower and closer and even a third lower and closer than the second. Then you can hang the cloths right on the rod instead of on a hanger. I like the rod because of it's larger diameter it doesn't leave creases in the cloths. You can also overlap them on these rods. For optimum use of space, you'd need to use multiple rods and overlap. Is that totally confusing?!

My drawers, well with spanx..oh wait not those drawers... Honestly, nothing :) I'm in the naked drawers and shelves camp, though my mother often comes along and puts anything she can find down as a liner when I'm not watching (paper towels, placemats...I'm hiding the bathmats...) I love no liner :) Nothing yucky to move, no wrinkles, no crinkles :) Now my cats on the other hand...well they're obviously more refined than those above and wouldn't shed a hair on my cabinets...they prefer being decorating accessories in the main parlor: And they're no lazy susans (pun intended) When they line a sink...they LINE the sink:
