How different we all are! What I liked the most was the modern shelving cutting into the crown.

I guess I'm a bit of a Fuddy Duddy. I tend to think the design should be a little more compatible with the period of the house. Too often people think of Victorian design in stereotype. The fact is that then like today there were many aesthetics in play. Much of the heavy carved pieces that are stereotypical survived only because of the carving. True Victorian colors while not vivid were varied and beautiful. Smokey mixes of tertiary colors that blended from robins egg blue, olives,plumb,green greys etc. A little more warmth and a little less shock would have better served this home.

Sorry I just find the lack of consideration for the period very disorienting. It also seem very "sparse" for any period.
