I Don't Like Facebooks Newest Change!

Several on my Friends list have changed over to the New Profile....and I can't find crap on their pages! lol Where's the status updates?

I sorta like that new look! At least the friends list I like. It's better than scrolling down to find what I want and clicking on it. Then going back to scroll down again and reclick. I was going to ask Sandy how she changed hers?! LOL The wall for status updates is right under their picture CB. Is that what you wondered about?

Thanks!! I went ahead and jumped on the ship! Might as well do it while I have a choice. I'm sure it'll be the norm soon! lol

Thanks, that helps. I love that you are the impetus for Aqua. My painter friend loved it, BTW. I got the idea that it was a version of Gustavian Grey from Ellen's own description on her website... (shoutout ahead) "Aqua (for walls and ceiling) is a darker version of Gustavian Grey, yet lighter than Oasis, which crosses that fine line between blue and green. Therefore, it is both healing and soothing, yet rejuvenatingÂa popular new color for 2007 according to color consultant Lori Sawaya!" She says the same thing about Oasis. Someone else here, and I'm sorry I can't remember who now, says that Oasis reads very neutral in her bathroom (and it's her only EK room she feels "meh" about.) That statement surprised me because the chip looked very green to me -- but when I painted my board I can see exactly what she means. I would bet she has a north-lit bathroom! But then again if you put it or Aqua next to blue (say, the Azure) it reads much more green. Aqua looks amazing up next to my print of Georgia O'Keffe "Poppy" because of the aqua she uses in the background. I may have to do the mud room aqua and hang that print there. Interestingly the GG looks fantastic in the bathroom, especially with the Cameo, and doesn't dull down in the room like the Oasis and Aqua do. So my short list for bath and bedroom at this point are: -Cameo & GG -some type of Eggplant/Aubergine (plus something else?) -Browns... Cognac and Bronze? I love Mushroom and Sand too. Or go even deeper - Citron Lick the Bowl? Maybe cool blue bedding and Azure ceiling, maybe this is how I can do my blue and brown. I don't see browns in "Rose" and wonder how they come into play.

I love Facebook. My facebook friends include some of my current friends, old friends that I had lost track of - people that I had often wondered how they were - what they were up to, etc. and LOTS of family - my mom, my dad, my sister, aunts, uncles, cousins.... my great aunt is on Facebook and she's in her 80s. I have 18 people in my list of friends who are over 50 (I just went and counted), so it really isn't just for younger people. I do have photo albums on my page, but they're only viewable by my friends, and their is no one in my "friends" that I wouldn't feel comfortable showing photo albums to if they were visiting my house. One thing that I think is great about it is that you can make your Facebook profile as public OR as private as you want it to be. My mom is in Italy right now, and she's posting pictures from her trip every few days on her page. She only has about 10 people on her list, but they're all people that she wants to share her photos with, and Facebook is a great way to do it easily. Only people that you accept as your friend can check out your profile, and you can put as much or as little on your profile as you want.

I feel like I just woke up in someone else's bed and need to get back home quick before my husband finds out :) I feel Houzz is an infomercial for professionals, which is fine - nice of them to share their photos so we can be inspired, but if you ask them how they did something or where to get it, they say "call me" or "I don't know, the client picked it out". It lacks the sharing and caring that was the foundation of GW. It seems a clash of cultures imho.

I received this reply--it seems they listened to us, and several editing features are back. I've replied again to request the ability to choose cover photos also be restored : "We are unable to disclose the reasons for our site updates. However, we are happy to share that our Engineering Team has listened to the community's feedback and restored editing functionalities to ideabooks. To rearrange, move, and further edit ideabooks, click into the ideabook. Then click the "... More" button. This will open up a dropdown menu. Next, click the "Edit" button and you will be able to edit the ideabook content as before."

You don't see the option? They were all "in my face" to change. Try doing to somones page that has changed nnd see if you see the option to change yours.

Ok I went to a relatives page and there was a deal to click try the new profile or page or something. I clicked and clicked and I have a new look! LOL
I am easily confused though, so I wonder how many goofs I will make now? hahaha

I can't find a link for it and none of my friends have changed over. Now I'm curious to see it!

I just went there and typed get new profile on the FB search...a bunch came up. I see there was a link on one wall to get it. That might be one way of doing it, I am not sure?

Maryanntx, click on Account, then Privacy settings, and you will probably see an example of it. They had it there for me to see, but I didn't elect to start using it.

I read the home page more than I read my profile page, so the changes are no big deal for me. If I want to go to my 'friends' page, I just type their name in the search bar and voila! I'm there.
