"If ya don't like the weather in --, stick around, it'll change!"

(or some slight variation of that!)

In Texas, where I am, it is said, as if it is novel, talking to a friend in Kansas, they think it is just them! REALLY!! I have got to believe EVERY state says this!

Just an unofficial poll.

Yes, Texans say this about Texas.

You??

Unless you live in the boston/providence corridor and the weather is absolutely unpredictable, always. If ya don't like the weather here, you better leave!

It was a quote from Mark Twain about New England though I'm sure it could apply to almost everywhere, I mean Kansas City just got snow in May! Ironically here in southern New England the weather hasn't changed at all in about 2 weeks. It has been comfortable and sunny but we sure could use some rain.

It most certainly applies to Saskatchewan as well.

I'm in Alpine TX at 30N latitude. We just went from 94F to 24F in 36 hours. Three hails in the last month and only 0.5 inch rain total in the last three months.

I pollinated a watermelon flower under my unheated but well insulated shelter 2 hours after it was 24F.

Try doing that in New England, doesn't happen.
